I think the bottom 3 this week should be Carmen, Kim C, and Josh. And hopefully Kim C will be the one leaving. If Carmen isn't in the bottom 3 this week there's definitely something wrong.

I had Corey lined up to get the boot this week. Oh well. I thought that the 2 worst performances were Rickey and Josh, with Josh being worse than Rickey. I don't think Rickey sounded too good, but at least he was having fun. The third spot is a toss up.

Kim C and Josh sounded awful tonight. It's a toss up to me as to who should go.
Kim has never had much of a range and Josh's "illness" sure was a convenient excuse to use.
I don't know what you all think, but tonight's show was not one of the better ones of the past two years. Even though I love EW&F's music, I didn't think the guest judge added much. He seemed to repeat himself in his feedback.
The 70's were my high school years so I absolutely love disco. But after listening tonight, I can safely say that listening to one person "sing" a disco song wasn't a big treat. Disco was awesome because of the arrangements, the huge back-up bands, the electronical "orchestras", etc.--it wasn't just one singer singing. I'm looking for a show with Broadway tunes or one with ballads, anything that showcases a single voice better.

Tremyce surprised me tonight--for the first time, I thought she moved up in the rankings. Rubens' voice is wonderful; I'm just not seeing him add more depth to his performances with dancing, more showmanship, etc. It may be something that comes back to bite him in the final rounds.

Hope next week's show is better.

Something bothered me about tonight's critique. Paula told Kimberly C that she needed to explore her style, that's fine by me.
But I heard Trenyce tonight and I thought, "oh another Whitney Houston song?". I know it's originally not sung by Whitney but I think Paula should've given Trenyce the same comment about exploring her style.

The bottom 3 should be Carmen, Rickey ....I just don't know! I guess Kim C, although I like her and want her to stick around!

And what is up with the Simon loves Carmen bit - I thought that Kim were al much better than Carmen, but Simon still has nothing but good things to say about her.

Josh was really AWFUL tonight! And so was Kimberly Locke. When she tried to sing the lower register of "It's Raining Men", it was clearly too low for her voice.

I think the bottom 3 will be Josh, Carmen (please!), and Kimberly Locke.

It's a shame about Josh. He was so good in the other song genres -- but disco did him in!

And good riddance to Corey!

1. Ruben (sorry Clay) - he was the best tonight, but he's singing the same types of songs every week and he's going to have to provide some "shock and awe" to stay on top.

2. Clay - ditto.

3. Kimberly L - I think KL is the biggest surprise. I like her better every week.

4. Trenyce - She's trying too hard and just yells half the time.

5. Kimberly C - She thinks she has it in the bag. She sings in a monotone and just does not have a great voice.

6. Carmen - I just don't get her...but Simon definitely likes her. Maybe he sees something the rest of us don't? She's only 17 so I guess that needs to be considered.

7. Josh - Josh, I liked you better before you went country. Sorry, guy.

8. Rickey - Mr. Smiley, it's time to go.

I hope that Josh can somehow stick around because he was so good until tonight. I think that for whatever reason he just had a bad night. I don't care for Kimberly L and I didn't care for Ricky's performance either. I'll have to go with Clay.

I think Josh will stay on thanks to past performances...he was a "yucky" singer tonight. I also don't know how Carmen has managed to stay on all this time..I really don't like her voice at all! I loved Clay and Rueben tonight. Kimberly L. did just ok...that is one of my favorite songs and it did give her some troubles. Kimberly C. is another I don't get...she is really limited in her talent, but she has the "look". Ricky...well what can you say about him...loved the hairdo tonight!!! And Trenyce....another Whitney tune..that was also my first thought! But she did it good! I think Kimberly C or Ricky should get voted off this week.

I know I'm in the minority but I thought Carmen did really well tonight.

Ruben is getting old to me. I feel like ho hum, 205 again, same look, same everything. Yawn.

Josh is my favorite but he did really bad tonight. I'm not convinced he had a cold.

Clay is good but he didn't really seem to sing disco to me.

I think the bottom three should be Kim C., Trenyce & Josh (although I don't want him to go!)

Simon sure was in a poor mood!

If I would have voted tonight...

1. Ruben - he's been consistent every week with his smooth voice. He has fun each night and it seems like it comes naturally to him. In need of a wardrobe makeover.
2. Trenyce - tops of the ladies IMO
3. Ricky - going down, but not this week. I liked his performance tonight, despite what Simon says
4. Clay - sorry, he can sing and I think he can win, but he needs to step up and perform and not just sing to be AI
5. Josh - tough night, not his genre and I guess he wasn't feeling 100%
6. Carmen - I don't get Simon's liking of her week after week, she has a flutter in her voice that annoys me, though tonight was her best so far, again MO
7. Kimberly C. - agree w/Pig Pen's thought on her, I don't think she's that great, and she so sure of herself it stinks
8. Kimberley L. - thought tonight was her worst, expected better, hope to see he next week (waiting for Simon to comment on her weight. I think she needs help selecting her dresses to camoflauge her tummy roll)

Agreeing that Disco. is definately a STUDIO SOUND! It is not something usually done the way they did it tonight. Ruben was the only one who really shown well tonight.. Barry White and Ruben are synonomis...

Hard to say who will be voted G-O-N-E ......

Poor Josh really had a awful night.. I hope that he will get at least another chance to show what he can do.

Kimberly L. - Raining Men.. is a difficult song at best to do solo.. her start was slow.. but she pulled it off at the end.. and someone please show this girl an all in one body slimmer/skimmer.. this coming from a big girl too. She is a BEAUTIFUL girl.. but her outfit tonight really detracted from her perfomance

Carmen- I thought Simon is correct in his assumption that she is the "commercial" talent of the girl singers.. I think with the right songs her voice could be sold.. (not to me however)

Reuben- Barry White is to Ruben as Garth Brooks is to Josh..

Clay- for the first time I was disappointed.. His voice was magnificent but I was hoping for some FUN to be put in his performance

Kim C.. I like her voice, she is gorgeous.. but I think she may be GONE....soon

Ricky... oh Ricky.. thank goodness you had the sense to toss the 'fro when you did...

Trenyce.. I agree with the comment regarding Paula's comments regarding "stretching" style, voice etc... but you know what..
she does have a good voice, she is learning to work the audience and I liked how she looked tonight

My pick for the bottom 3 would be Ricky, Josh & Carmen.

Although for me its hard to pick who I want voted off, since I like ALL the performers at this point. Lets face it, these kids are talented! They didn't get this far in the game without having some talent and showmanship.

Poor Josh. I don't think he had a cold either. I think that is a tough song to sing without back-up singers. It's really hard to find the 'right' pitch. But, I'm hoping he makes it thru tonight. Didn't care for Ricky this time around, or Carmen. And I haven't liked Kimberly C. from the beginning. So, my picks for the bottom three are.....Josh, Carmen, Ricky. With Ricky being the one that will go. Also agree that Kimberly L. should get some wardrobe advice. I have no problem with weight issues, but if you want to be an AI then make the effort to dress the part. She just can't compete with Carmen and Kimberly C. in the clothing arena!!
I could listen to Reuben and Clay all night. I'm hoping that the final three are Josh, Reuben and Clay. Trenyce is coming along but I wish she would 'make a song her own' as they say. Ah well...we'll see what happens.
