American Idol Top 9 Idol Chatter and Idle Chatter

Thank GOD Megan is out. I found her to be insufferable last night. The Caw CAw-wing flapping and the mugging for the camera just before the vote. How would that have looked if by some miracle the other contestant would have gotten the boot?

I think she has no class at all. A class act IGNORES the slings and arrows...not taunting them!

My favorites are Danny, Allison, Kris, and Anoop. For some reason I'm not impressed with Adam. He sounds good but I'm just not a fan? I think he is one you really like or you don't. I hope Danny goes all the way.

lol, guess what, there were enough people that cared that she made it this far. In the end, Megan held true to herself, which is more than I can say for most people in the world and definitely on Idol.

I liked that she said to bitter middle-aged America, screw you, I'll do what I want. Don't like my tatoos? Don't like the way I dance? Don't like my voice (even though it was one of the most unique ever on Idol)? Well maybe try expanding your horizons instead of judging.

Good for her, won't be watching Idol anymore after this, especially with Allison being in the bottom three. I knew Idol was fixed, just not this fixed. No desire to watch a bunch of white male teeny boppers compete for the top spot, this season is a joke.

She said this to middle aged America? Must have missed that ...I'm middle aged America and your assumption would not fit me or many of my friends.

Come on - it's only a TV show. Why get your feathers ruffled over it? There are far more important issues to get passionate about.

She had a quirky personality and seemed to want to go home for the last few weeks. She missed her little one...no one can know what was in her heart.

I'm glad she's gone. Now ready for Scott, Allison and Anoop to go...and they will, week by week until it's down the final 3 or 4. I hope the judges do not use the "save' until it's down to the wire (who's bright idea was that to over turn the voters?). Looked like they would have used it for Allison last night - thank goodness they didn't have to, but maybe within the next couple of weeks.

I didn't know David Cook was going to be on last night! What a great surprise.

I was just listening to a few of the studio versions. Matt's is amazing! Kris's is also really good. Scott and Alison sounded good but the originals are too well known that there is only so much they could do. Listened to part of Adam's. I hate that song so I knew I wasn't going to like it no matter WHO sang it. But the beginning reminded me of the way DC did Day Tripper last year. It sounded like they used the vocal tube thing. It was odd. I didn't listen to more than 5 seconds of the other three so I have no opinion.

Wow, what ever happened to everyone is entitled to their own opinion?? It's okay to be different. I love Adam, but there are times I just can't stand his 'look'....keep telling my dd, 15, this. I like him when he is more subdued, not doing his 'lets see how far out there can I get' look. I mean really...black fingernails??? But, that's his choice.
I personally don't care for body art. That doesn't mean someone can't have it. I also didn't care for Megan's voice....doesn't mean it's bad, just means that I don't care for it. Had nothing to do with her appearance.
Has nothing to do with 'expanding my horizons'..it really doesn't. Don't much care for Anoop anymore, but that doesn't mean I don't care for his lack of Anglo-Saxon looks. Just don't care for his song choices or the way he sings those songs. Plain and simple.
Someone needs a chill-pill.

I am so pleased Megan went home last night. Her voice was quirky, and there were things I really liked about her (like in her bio where she said she loves Bjork and wants to be on Yo Gabba Gabba....very cool!). But all the mugging for the camera was irritating. It was like she was trying to be cute and came off as crazy instead. And while I thought her voice was unique, that doesn't mean I found her singing pleasant to listen to.


I am all about Adam. He's really the only person holding my interest week to week.

I guess Anoop and Lil are the only exceptions to this. I kinda agree, but we haven't had a white male teeny bopper win yet, so I guess I'm fine with it.

Did anyone else think that DC sounded like a goat-boy at the beginning of his song? A little too much vibrato? I found it distracting, but then the song got waaay better. Loved it.

Did anyone else for the first couple of seconds of Megans performance yesterday sstart thinking it wasn't to bad.

Then it just became awful again.

But for like 10 seconds I was like "Oh maybe you just have to hear it a couple of times"

Has anybody posted that with seperation, a young child maybe Megan had a breakdown.

I mean there is "Unique" as the judges use it and then "Unique" as medical professionals would use it.

I will say Megan was "Unique".
