There was so much hate going around on this thread that I was trying to sit this one out but you had to go and insult Jason Castro. He was my favorite last year and he is not dirty looking. Dreads are not dirty if they are taken care of and, besides that, Jason is just so good looking with the most beautiful eyes ever.

I for one am really excited about this years final. For the first time I really like both of the performers in the final. It will be exciting listening to what they sing. Adam has an unbelievable voice and Kris has a quiet beauty to his voice. I think that we are in for a real treat next week.

Jason's eyes, smile and personality made him a winner to me. He made me laugh because he was so laid back and comfortable with himself. I think we could all learn from him. I will never forget how he hummed through the parts where he forgot the words and he never stopped smiling. It never mattered how mean Simon got Jason just smiled.

This is a SINGING contest, not a beauty pagent! Kris has the potential to be like a backstreet boy or an nsync type guy- the little girls love him but can't see him bridging that gap to become a real "star"

Well, since it's a singing contest, then Adam shouldn't win either since it's not a screaming contest.

It sounds exactly like The Fray's version. I HATE when idol performers take someone else's less-known remake and everyone automatically thinks they're a musical genius I love Kris but "Heartless" was faaaaaar from original. And they're all guilty of it; David Cook did it a lot last year.

Although I thought Kris' version sounded better than The Fray's version, it was quite similar. Still...I loved it!! Chris Daughtry did that w/ "Walk the Line". He got a lot of flack for that, too.

Okay, now it's becoming not just a silly thread but an ignorant one.

He doesn't only scream, it's just ONE part of his act, like Kris' faces and Danny's point. The faces make me sicker than his scream but I've got enough sense to know that's NOT all he's about.

I don't know if kris is the same as grays never heard it. As far as kris getting teenybopper votes I'm 22 and love him. His preidol stuff is like what's on my iPod now. I love singer/songwriters that aren't as mainstream.

We all loved David Cook last year. but what really happend to him? I never hear his song on the radio anymore?? Sadly I hear more about David A. Adam

David Cook and David A's songs are played on the lite station here, my mom listens to it so I hear them every now and then, I listen to a rock station and they are not played on there.

I'm late coming into this thread considering this season is almost over- just wanted to voice my opinion!

I'm happy with the finale! I really like the final 2 contestants. I can say also that I don't mind either of them winning, and that's a first for me with this show!

Danny was my favorite in the begining- I really enjoyed him, but as the season went on I saw the smugness that some of the other posters were talking about (ignoring the mentors advice, etc) and it seemed like all his songs sounded the same. He does have a very good voice, don't get me wrong!- But I wish he got voted off last week instead of Allison, I was very disappointed in that!

I'm really looking forward to next week!! can't wait to see the show, but I'm sad that all my shows are ending! American Idol, DWTS, Survivor, Biggest Loser (what can I say, I'm a reality junkie) I think its going to be a boring summer until Big Brother comes on!

Well if the homecomings are any indication AI had better hope Kris wins. What a homecoming. I don't know why they did Adam last. It was very apparent that his homecoming was much, much smaller. It may have been that it is a big city and they didn't care much, but I have to admit that was pretty sad to see so little turnout for the idol that supposedly has the biggest fan base ever?

If you weren't saddened a little for Danny and his story and can say that the man can't sing, I swear you'd have to be heartless. How can you not be impressed by what he did? I have been a Kris fan for a long time, but I can see that Danny has had an amazing journey on this and I am so happy that this will open up doors for him.

Kris and Danny's homecomings were really impressive. That scene with Kris's dad was precious. And I loved the part where he says "don't cry Mama". Makes me want to go home to the south and hear everyone talk like that. They look like a family that really loves each other. Loved the scene where his parents hug each other and hold hands.

I know Adam is very talented and I actually think he looked humbled a bit tonight. I don't think he thought for sure that he was in. I liked when he talked to the kids at the theater. Full Circle! But I really hope Kris wins. Even if he doesn't he has really been impressive this year.

Bye bye Danny. I know I will buy your CD when it comes out. Your voice is truly a blessing. Use this experience to open hearts!

Oh gosh, I hear David Cook's songs on the radio ALL the time! There must be 3 or 4 that they play. I have to admit I was so sad about David A. losing but have really grown to like DC's album (not that I had anything against him in the first place, I just wanted little David to win!).

Kimmar067, I hope you don't do that. I know it feels really bad when your guy looses. But Danny will be able to do great things now that he won't have to be limited to what the AI producers want. This is a great thing for him. Did you see his interview after AI last night. He said he was relieved he could finally be himself! All that smugness people are saying was really him trying to shut himself up. I thought it was endearing when he would smile. All three of these guys seem like good guys and they are all talented.

Come on back and watch next week and see what happens. Maybe Kris will knock your socks off. Maybe even Adam! I hope it is Kris and you vote, vote, vote!

Oh Happygirl. His record went Platnium in 3 months. I also hear it all the time on the radio and I love most of the songs on the album! But Archie's has done well too. I think there is plenty of sucess to be had by all of these guys.

It's because of where they're from. Having a hometown boy make it big on a popular TV show is a big deal in a small town. We see it season after season - the smaller the town, the bigger the homecoming. Adam's from southern California though. He has a ton of fans (both regular viewers and celebrities), but people in southern Cali aren't going to run out to see a guy on a reality show sit in a car as it drives down the street. I can guarantee if a NY contestant made it to the top 3, the city wouldn't shut down for a parade Just because his homecoming didn't draw the entire town doesn't mean he doesn't have a ton of fans. I mean he was the only one who went to a military base, so does that mean he's the only one who supports our troops? It's all relative, really.
