Apparently, right before taping of the show, Cowell said that despite America's expectations of an Lambert victory, he believes underdog Kris Allen will win the competition. He knows the votes so I bet Kris has ben leading the past couple weeks.

He's been backpedalling from his earlier comments to Kris for at least a week and a half. Remember when he said that Kris was not good enough to be in the final? That was just earlier this month, and now he's saying this.

Simon will cut and run from a mistake in a heartbeat. Kris peaked at the right time.

Yeah I thought they come on later then july? And why oh why don't we get britains got talent over here??? I am not a huge fan of britain but if I could pick another sattelite station for my TV it would be SKYNEWS followed by whatever channel has brittains got talent on it.

It's a long time til football season starts and a long time til the new idol, but it has been a great season IMHO.

I meant the American Idol tour doesn't come here until Aug 26th. I'm with you I wish we could get Britains got talent. We do get a British station from satelite but don't get that one.

We are done voting here on the west coast. Dial Idol has had the exact same spread for hours. The numbers change but they are always 1.10 apart from each other. That seems HIGHLY unlikely. And when you throw in all the texts -- either of them could get this.

I voted over 900 times. I have been up since 4:30 a.m. Good night!

The West Coast lines closed at 1 am and I probably got more votes in the last 30 minutes that I did all evening. I don't trust any online polls or numbers right now. You can check this site at 3 pm tomorrow as they've been right in past years. http://www.bettorsworld.com/idol-winner.htm

The tour starts on July 5 in Portland, then goes to Tacoma and then Vancouver. So we're right at the start of the tour.

Both guys gave a sweet interview after the show and Adam is so tactful in stepping back and making sure Kris gets a chance to answer some questions -though more of the questions are directed at Adam and he's the more articulate one.

The Geopredictions are interesting. Adam's state is going for Kris and vice versa. Really thought states like NY and CA would go for Adam.

haha, and how many times did you manage to get through??? I did that Top 4 week and got through 200 times. Though my sister said once last year she got through 700 times for Michael Johns.

I am proud to say I stuck by my word and did not vote ONCE last night. But I could not boycott the show like I said I would...

And I never thought I'd say it but I am kind of hoping Adam wins. Did not think Kris did that great last night and the last song, like my dad said, something was just wrong with it the way he did it.

Just listened to Adam sing the coronation song again and as bad as the song is (it is really cheesy), he sounds awesome on it. I really hope he pulls this out and wins, but will be okay if it is Kris.

I was really hoping I'd wake up this morning and see Adam in the green on dialidol. I have to say I'm actually really worried that he might not win.

It wouldn't make any sense though since every poll I've seen has Adam winning, I've heard that Adam apparel is selling out faster, and he's had more top downloads on itunes then all the other contestants combined. If he loses, I'm afraid it will be from those voting against Adam pushing Kris over the top.
