Whatever the outcome, a NICE guy will win. I am so disjointed after last night's debacle. I saw Adam reeling it in and trying to be more mainstream and Kris just did his thing. Neither one of them hit it out of the ballpark, just nice performance...

We get through all these weeks for NICE? That's pitiful.

I love the final show for the entertainment and the return of the others. It should be fun!

That finale song was written to showcase Adam's vocal range, not Kris's--a VERY unfair thing to do. The key should have been at least adjusted for Kris, a very simple thing to do!!!

Both are talented, but I am not sure Adam will win. Middle amercian may not vote for Adam, and combine that with Kris's fan base and Danny's---well Kris just may be the next idol.

Can you believe how close Dialidol is?!! It's gonna be really exciting to see what happens tonight. My last two finals are today too so it's a fun little kick-off to the summer

If Kris wins do you think they'll actually make him sing that song? He looked like he was in pain the entire time. He really struggled and couldn't hit the notes. Good luck with that... to whoever wins!

I really hope they don't make him release that horrendous ear-bleeding song. Don't you find it funny that Kara wrote it, and yet acted like she wasn't a fan? Hmm...makes you wonder why she even wrote it. It's truly terrible!! I feel bad for whoever has to release that.

I feel bad for whoever DOES win because they have to release that crappy song as their first single! I've never been a big fan of any of the coronation songs (except last year....because David Cook sang it!).

Absolutely. And it was so obvious that Cara had to admit the key was too high. Hmmmm....is it possible Madame Cara insisted they both sing it in the same key? And the point of doing something like that was??? Inquiring minds want to know.
Kris is a musician, as well as a singer. I'm certain he's more than able to tell what keys fit his range. If he'd have had the option to make a change to better showcase his vocals, he would have.

Kris could easily have rearranged to song a bit so he could hit all the notes. He also would have asked for a key change if he thought he needed one. After all of the talent he's shown altering songs to suit his style, he could have done more with it. Neither contestant was going to have a moment with that song. I actually thought it sounded better on Kris.

From what I have heard, they were allowed to change it up. Both singers did sing it differently.

Yea I can't get over that song They always make it soooo cheesy, but this one didn't even have a melody. Every other year, as cheesy as the song was, it at least got stuck in my head. I can't remember a single note of that song last night - it's not memorable at all, except for being horrible I understand that the show's about achieving your goals and making your dreams come true, but does the first single they release really have to be about moving mountains because you won a reality show?!! I wish the producers would give them a REAL song!

Is anyone else psyched for So You Think You Can Dance?! It's my favorite reality show of all time! I've never been a dancer or even into dance, but there's something about that show that sucks me in season after season. There's never nay contestants I can't stand, I love the judges, and the dances the choreographers come up with are AMAZING! It's become a summer tradition to watch it and I can't believe it already starts tomorrow. Plus it was picked up for a Fall season on Fox so we get a double dose of it!

That's something I'm really impressed with about Kris. I've ALWAYS said that, to me, a true musician is someone who plays their own instruments. I have no idea if Adam can play anything, but that's something I definitely like more about Kris.

Seriously, the only think about the song I remember is how much it sucked. They were even talking about how horrible it is on the "Today Show" this morning. Oh, and I definitely agree w/ that last part. It seems like the coronation songs are always super melodramatic. They're so cheesy. You'd think they'd get the hint and not force a crappy song down the winner's throat. Blech!!

I'll be happy with either winner. I'm a huge Adam fan but have to say that Kris really impressed me as the season went on & I'm just as a big of a fan now.

I promised myself I wouldn't vote last night, but gave in & actually voted for Kris. I feel that Adam will be a tremendous star regardless of whether he wins AI or not. I also feel that Kris grew the most throughout the season & really deserves the AI title.

The coronation song couldn't have been worse though. It was probably the worst song either of them sang all season.

Can't wait for the finale.

I had high hopes for Kara - I thought she'd be the level-headed woman on the panel. Not so. Last night, especially, I noticed that she's been making Paula look sane and articulate. Maybe that's the point!

When she talks about Adam it looks like her head is going to blow off of her shoulders, it's ridiculous. Get a hold of yourself woman!

The problem was Simon stated that David A won the finale contest. But the next day he said he thought that the Cook fans may have shot back at him. Now just in the last few days Simon has said that Kris could pull this out. Now he has said this after the results of last week. I think that what they have seen is that Kris' votes have been besting Adams. I don't think it was as much of a fluke as everyone thought that Adam landed in the bottom one week. I think Kris did more to stop Gokey than Adam, but now it seems he may have what it takes to take it from Adam.

Lots of the polls ask who do you think will win AI. But that doesn't necessarily translate into votes. So Adam may be in trouble. Dial Idol only has them 1.12% apart with Kris in the lead. The problem is that Kris was in the lead the entire night. So it will be close but right now it looks like Kris has the advantage. I think Simon is indeed back peddaling on Kris. He has said repeatedly in interviews and shamelessly during the show that Adam will be the winner. His talk last night about "no matter what we have found an international star" was said because I believe he knows Kris has a shot of beating Adam.

I guess we will have to wait and see. Plan to add time to the Tivo!

Last night I think that I finally figured out what bugs me about Adam. Besides being too theatrical for me, he never smiles or even seems happy when he's singing. He always has this painful, serious look on his face.

For the record, the sideways smile that Kris makes bugs me as well but at least he looks like he's enjoying himself.

Agree with the comments about the song - absolutely awful!

Kris also won me over as the season went on ~ he seemed to become more comfortable and his talent began to show show more and more.

Sooo decided to vote for Kris, but could only get through once, immediately after the phone lines opened. After that the circuits were busy, then I fell asleep.

I hope Kris wins tonight not only because I truly think he deserves it, but b/c he's kind of the underdog and the judges were waaay too obvious in their support last night.

Of course, Adam is incredibly talented (and they are both clearly very gracious and nice guys), but I still see his success on the stage, not as a recording artist. Much of his draw is watching him perform.....I dunno..will be interesting tonight, but I'll be disappointed if Adam wins.

It all depends on what songs you sing. Adam tends to sing songs with a serious message.


I went back and relistened to both coronation songs a few times. It was interesting to hear the differences. Adam used back up singers where Kris didn't. They are both singing in different keys. Adam sings it more embellished changing octaves quite regularly while Kris stays more mid range. Both looked quite pained singing it.
