kind of OT but Kara reminds me of an actress that used to be on one of my favorite shows.....and i HATED her character....so i think the hatred is 2x as bad for Kara from me, than it really could be.

thank you, that's what my issue was! more than the arrangement itself, i had an issue with it being so off-key it was distracting.

So why do the judges keep giving conflicting advice???? First they say "make it your own" then when someone tries to do it, they get "don't change a good song" usually because it can never compare with the original.

Poor Toddrick.... he is NOT in his element.

He reminds me of all the "two snaps up" guys I had to deal with when I was in college. I studied theatre and it was like being in the cast of Fame...

I think I had about 12 Toddricks and 15 Jermaines per class....

making it your "own" doesn't always necessarily mean "Change the whole arrangement around so no one knows what you're actually singing"

when David Cook and Kris Allen "changed up" their songs, you still knew what the original song was, they still had the music in the backround somewhere.

but if you change it up too much, people aren't going to know what you're singing. couple that with the fact that Todrick was really flat thru most of the performance, and it doesn't sound good at all.
