Seal did a duet with Syesha.

Dread boy, sorry my brain's not working, did his hallelujah song again. Jason Castro!!!!!

I think this was 2nd hour but Carrie Underwood sang as did Jordin Sparks.

I'm sure there's more in that first hour. Oh yeah! Did you see this? They did a 70s flashback with Gladys Knight and her pips, on film, were Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr and Ben Stiller. Black was hysterical.

When he was singing with ZZ Top, he LOOKED like a STAR!!!!!!

This will be the FIRST TIME I ever brought an American Idol's CD!

It was great seeing Michael Johns perform again

I think what is really amazing is how definitive the voting was; despite beating all previous votes by over 20 million votes, it wasn't even close: Cook won 56% to 44%. Very impressive.

I love the way Simon prevented looking incredibly stupid by apologizing to David Cook BEFORE he was named the winner. He looked like a jack-@$$ and he knew it!!!

I didn't watch all the show but happened to tune in at the very end. When DC was singing and his brother looked into the camera and mouthed the words - "that's my brother" - I got all choked up! Awwwww!

Simon (and the other judges) HAD to have known that David Cook was going to be the winner. I am sure they knew what previous vote counts were in the prior weeks. Simon was on Leno the other night and said Cook would be the American Idol. On Tuesday the judges were fanning all over Archie probably to make it a little more suspenseful and make the voting a little closer. Don't get me wrong, Archie did a good job on Tuesday....but I don't think he "knocked out" Cook by any means. And did you catch Simon wink at David Cook after the 3rd song when he said he didn't want to sing something he has already done? They knew all along...........

He also said on Ellen that he thought David Cook would win. I honestly don't think they know until the votes are in. I think they know who has been getting the votes lately and that would have been David Cook. Simon said that David A. was the most popular in the beginning but that he plateaued where David C. had been increasing in popularity the whole time.

And I think we don't need to worry about AI having "control" of his CD...anyone that can take Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Roberta Flack and ROCK them out like he did will have NO PROBLEM with controlling his own music!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope they come out with details on who the most downloaded idol was of the season, it has to be DC.

Did anyone notice that for the Guitar Hero/Risky Business commercials, DC did the traditional "tighty whities" while DA wore BOXERS! Is it because he is so young?! I just thought it was noteworthy!

Yes I noticed!!! That boy couldn't be sexy if his life depended on it. But given that he is the same age as some of my son's friends, I was glad to see him in boxers.

I happen to think Simon knew exactly what he was doing on Tuesday night. I think he WANTED DC to win AI and by saying all that he got DC fans goig so they'd vote. He's done it before while tying to get rid of someone who was on the show when he thought their time was up. Last year, he did not do it with Sanjiah and people would give Sanjiah "sorry" votes because Simon was *mean*.

Simon Cowell is a smart man and used it on the voters this week. The man knew it would be good for AI for DC to win and IMHO he manipulated that win in his own way.

I'm a DC fan all the way but I didn't want him to win as far as the start of his career was going to go. I like the idea of him being the winner of Idol though. Davis A is a great singer but he's a kid and needs to mature and will. Hopefully he'll be given the time to mature before it is over for him as a "pop idol". He's got talent, imho, and should do well.

I think david Cook does have what it takes. I'm a Daughtry fan to an extent but I think DC has more "it" factor than Chris. JMHO.

That's the first time I've heard that but I completely agree. He looks completely comfortable on stage. They could throw any kind of music at him (like Mariah Carey), any awkward situation (like the dopey group numbers), anything...and he came out looking like a star.

I am not really a Daughtry fan, but I do think he's talented. However, I think David Cook is much better all around. Daughtry seems to be kinda unhappy sometimes in the limelight, I think David Cook is more gracious and yes more "it".
