because bashing must now=having an opinion.....

It's the same thing in here every friggin week.. and it's the same feeling, "I didn't like it", "that was awful", "OMG she looks terrible in that," "where do these people come from."

Try to evaluate the singers against each other, not in absolute sense.

I do not think anyone is "bashing" anyone. We all give our opinions on what works and what does not. Afterall we are the ones who vote.

It is bashing when 10 people sing, and people criticize every single performance. Try to have some sense of musical skill. If Simon liked a performance, I don't get how everyone on this thread can say it was awful.

Because not everyone agrees with what Simon sayas and we all have different taste in music.

well i've never said anyone "looked terrible in that" because i'm aware that everyone has different styles.

They offer constructive criticism when necessary. They don't tell every singer that they were just flat out horrible.

I realize you don't have to all like the same thing but what's happened on this thread is just the opposite. Everyone seems to hate every single performance and that is boring!!

I have 10 posts because I'm a new member but I've been reading the boards for some time now.

A few people have liked a FEW performance but the great majority on here bash every single performance.

well it's a crappy season of Idol....even Entertainment Weekly has written an entire 3-4 page article on how bad the performances have been. you should write them a letter too.

anyway, off to the "ban" button.....

It is a crappy season. No where near what last year was when people were giving great performances every week and each artist was growing from week to week, well most were. This time last year I could easily pick out a ton of performances I loved while this year there has been 4 that have stuck with me and that I remember.

I'm the same way, and I've said this countless times within the past few weeks. This season just isn't as significant as the others to me. I mean, I have a couple favorites, and one person I think I'm going to stick with (I won't say if you don't already know ), but I usually like at least ONE performance from each contestant. This year? Not so much....so....yeah. *hands in pockets, kicks dirt, whistles AI theme to herself*

I LOVED Kris Allen's version. Aaron's was good but I agree, Kris owns it!

LOL. This Idol thread for years has been all about us saying what we think of the performers...song choice, outfits, hair, voice...whatever.

This has never been all fairy tales and pixie dust....it's just real people voicing their opinions. And those that post here all the time like it just fine

Maybe we should all be like Paula from now on and find 1 thing nice to say about each person even when they stunk.

Lee was my favorite last night. Oh wait, he is always my favorite.

I never really like the ones the judges rave about. Like last year it was Adam and this year it's Crystal. I don't think she's as good as everyone makes her out to be.

Oh, like I'm supposed to listen to YOU?!? You know nothing about my level of musical accomplishments, so to stoop to a personal snide aside of 'try to have a sense of musical skill'? Everyone who has an opinion is always welcome on any of the DIS-AI threads I've participated on throughout the various past seasons, posters have strong opinions but we all get along and I've never seen an instance of posters calling each other names...except in your case, but I suppose there's a first time for everything.

I think the judges look embarrassed to sit there week after week because they picked the contestants and the judges have no-one to blame but themselves for this craptastic season.
