I get the feeling that Mary doesn't like country singers that much ..

You don't have to like a genre to know if a singer is good. A lot of people don't like country. Unfortunately those same people think that all of the singers in it are bad.

I'm not a huge R&B fan, but can tell if someone is good or not if they sing in that genre.

Right. Simon has made it well known that he does not like country music...but he knows a person that can sing no matter what they sing. He liked Carrie Underwood and she was 100 % a country singer.

That was wacky. But, for some reason, I had no real qualms about it.... So maybe I should overlook the tutu bit in this one....
