the place is going nuts! games been stopped for almost 10 minutes now. it was crazy. Lindey really looked like he was gonna go after the other coach, it was great!

We're in Naples right now & the game isn't on here. DH is wondering if it's over & who won. DD's are all bummed that they missed the fights - looks like we'll have to wait until Sports Center!

This was not supposed to be a Survivor spoiler thread. I put the _______ in DD;s quote after I realized I was spoiling it also.

It spoiled it for me too. I had taped Survivor to watch AI and was avoiding the Survivor thread.

I'm not surprised at tonight's results. I am surprised that VFTW seems to have had an impact on the results.

I think she got the sympathy votes this week since Simon really trashed her. I don't think VFTW has all that much impact...JMO.

Plus if the guys saw her web pictures they are voting cause they liked what they saw!

i just didn't think it was fair, last season. they had country week but no "Rock" week, no "R&B" week, no "pop" week.

I cant do that either. You have to have a certain dish for that to work if you have Direct TV like I do. Of course I didnt find this out until AFTER they installed it!

I also missed Survivor. I HAD to see The Office (why is Micheal's boss dating him? Is she insane?). I figured that since Survivor is in its early stages, it wouldnt hurt to miss this week's. But I would NEVER miss an episode of Amazing Race!

Back to Idol! I am REALLY sorry that Paul got the boot insted of Jared, Sundance, or Sunjaya. I think Paul was waaaayyy better than those 3. Also, I checked that link you guys were talking about - dialidol. I was SHOCKED to see that Antonella was ranked that high. Even though I agree with the 2 who got the boot tonight, I wish she was gone already!

see, i wasn't shocked that Paul left. first of all, he didn't wear shoes..... i don't like feet. feet scare me. so seeing that just disgusted me. and second of all i couldn't understand a durn(yes, i said durn!) word he was singing! he kind of mumbled everything.

Sundace better go within the next week or two. he's just not good. i think, what happened, is he was great at singing the one song that he sang during the auditions, but he's not really that great of a singer at all. i still don't get how he got thru from Hollywood.

Sanjaya, i like him, but man......don't let your sister pick the songs, honestly. let someone else do it.

and i'm still annoyed by Randy saying "you can't sing a song from the great Stevie Wonder and expect to do good" or whatever crap he sputtered out, considering last season they had a whole night dedicated to Stevie Wonder!!! seriously.....Randy.......just.........*smacks him* there, now i feel better.

Well that was interesting. So Sundunce gets to stay for another week. Why? Maybe the voting public wants to give him a three strikes and you're out. Seeing no further development from him, I was content with 2. Shoeless Paul leaving was fine but Rudy before Sundance?

As for the girls, no big surprises there. I found Amy boring and Nicole seemed to talk rather than sing her song. Do I think there were others who should have gone before these two? Well Yes! How Alaina got through for another week escapes me. I thought she was the worst of both nights. At least my favorites were all safe.

Fantasia I can take or leave. I actually didn't think she was that bad last night but I thought the song was horrible. Please no more group sing alongs until there's less people left. I've seen high school choruses do a better job. And stop torturing us with the goodbye songs from the contestants who got eliminated. ARGGG! They're just dreadful each and every time!

Guest stars.... HOW COOL! Barry Gibbs, Tony Bennett, Bon Jovi!!! I can't wait.

It seems that the ones eliminated last night were the ones least featured on the audition and Hollywood Week episodes. This indicates to me that the voting system is still badly flawed -- that contestants stay or go because they have more friends and fans rather than because people think they're great singers.

And Antonella??? How could she not be gone??? I thought for sure she would have been. I am from Jersey, but I hate her "Jersey Girl" attitude!!! Hopefully next week she'll be gone!

I've figured out Sanjaja reminds me of a 70's Donny Osmond with his big smile and "bubblegum" sound! (OK, I'm showing my age and I LOVED Donny back then!!! )

Oh yeah...I forgot to comment on Fantasia, which I wanted to do.

I like Fantasia...she has a good voice, but I found I was watching her dress bunch up every time she'd bounce, because it was soooo tight on her! One size bigger and she would have looked better!

It bothers me when these girls wear their clothes sooo tight that every bump & bulge shows. I don't get it! (Again, my age is showing I'm sure!)

I'm probably the same age, but I see it differently. Fitness is a big deal, and it should be. I see no problem with folks who are fit wearing clothing that accentuates this advantage. It's natural, and an aesthetic. I do agree that if you don't have it, don't flaunt it.

ITA. I think that's why Sundance and Antonella are still around, because they were so heavily featured during the weeks leading up to this one.

Unfortunately, I totally see the season turning into Season 3-which in my opinion was the WORST season. Battle of divas. Personally, the diva/Aretha Franklin type music is not my thing so I probably wont be voting much.

Seasons 4 and 5 were so good. There was so much talent and diversity.
You had soul, rock, country, pop, swooners.
This season seems too heavy on the soul and pop for my taste.

They couldnt throw in one rocker this year for me??
