Oh holy crap. That show was a snooze fest!!! The terror in my heart that this might be another season 3 is increasing.... I guess if i had to pick people who were ok, I'd go with Blake and Chris S. but even then they weren't amazing.

I miss Chris Daughtry. And all of those other season 5 people I suppose! The girls have GOT to step it up!!

I missed the Hollywood weeks, and it seems like all of the people I actually liked from auditions did not make it. I was not impressed by ANY of the performances tonight. All of them were very boring, and the no-shoes routine is ridiculous and rather disgusting. The Justin Timberlake lookalike was blech, but that might just be my opinion because I think the real JT is an annoying pain in the behind with no talent whatsoever.

i miss last season, too. at least i could drool at Ace even if he wasn't his best that week.

now i kind of cringe at Sundance and Phil....like i did with only one contestant last season.

The previous seasons have been better, IMO.

This thread reminded me-did anyone else see the Tonight Show bit with the dog diring the auditions? That cracked me up.

I liked Brandon in the past but tonight he was doing some serious camera flirting, I felt a bit violated after that perfromance.

You don't have to download software to look at the predictions - just click on the tab at the top of the page. The software is for those who participate in the tracking - it tracks how many calls/busy signals you make - that's how they get their data.

A disproportionate number of people who do the "vote for the worst" thing, have DialIdol installed. It throws off the numbers somewhat. The current DialIdol leader is the "vote for the worst" pick. Statistically speaking, I don't think it really has an impact on the actual show results.

I threw a few Sanjaya's way just cause I do like him, though his song was dull as a doorknob. Elliott did the song much better last year. I also put in a few votes for the Chrises, but did not really like their song choices tonight.
I really wanted to like Paul and Rudy, especially since Paul did a favorite song of mine. but they were "eh"...I could barely sit through Phil's song, not so much because of him, but i really hate that song.
really the only person who I found to be a total snoozefest was Nick.

Does Blake remind anyone else of Travis from So You Think You Can Dance???

Oh, yes! I actually did a double take during his first audition and turned to my dh and said, "OMG! That could be Travis's, from SYTYCD, twin!" Dh also agreed.

My favorite so far is Phil...but I agree that he is so much easier on the eyes when he wears the hat! Chris Sligh is probably my 2nd fave.

The 2 that I hope are leaving this week are Sundance and Sanjaya, although I can easily think of a couple more than can go with them at this point.

I will have to check out dialidol in a few min. to see what the predictions are.

Very unimpressive night.

Rudy-hated his song choice, didn't much like his performance, very forgettable
Brandon- I like Brandon, he is capable of so much more than this performance I think (I hope) Hated the way he stared into the camera.
Sundance-Loved him on his first audition,haven't liked him since. Tonight he was blah and boring. I think he will be going.
Paul Kim-Hated this performance, everything about it. PUT YOUR SHOES ON!
Chris Richardson-It was just okay
Nick-didn't care for this at all and I liked Nick in auditions
Blake- thought it was good
Sanjaya-Liked his voice in his initial auditions, hated his performance tonight
Chris Sligh-I like his voice, he sounded good. Wasn't crazy about his song choice tonight though. Wish he wouldn't have pissed Simon off so early on.
Jared-His voice is okay I guess, but the performance was very boring
AJ-don't care for this guy at all
Phil-started out bad, it was just ok for me but this guy creeps me out

My dh agrees with you too. Imagine his horror when he rode in the car with me the other day and discovered the new CD I had playing. Yep, I am now the proud owner of the Chris Daughtry CD, much to my dh's dismay. The thing is, I initially liked him last season but then I grew bored of him. I LOVE his CD though!

Blake was the best of the guys, Chris Sligh was right about Simon's horrible taste as a producer but it was too soon to be that sarcastic to the judges.

And how! Blake was great. I've been listening to an mp3 of his performance over and over for the past half hour.
Yes, I cringe when contestants start getting snippy with the judges, it NEVER makes them look good to me. I find myself feeling embarrassed for them.

DialIdol is NOT something that is correct every time. last season that site was wrong half the time. don't forget people can text message too. it doesn't count those votes either.

i can't tell you how many times last year I sat down on results night prepared to say goodbye to Elliott, since DialIdol was predicting him to go, just to have him stick around. They are not always correct.

i liked him at first too. i thought he was cool. and i'm a huge rocker-girl, so i was lovin this rock guy. but.....every week he kept doing the SAME thing over and over again.....and he started to sound terrible after a while. whining and screaming, instead of singing. and then his ego just got out of control. i mean, honestly..his reaction when he got voted off was a little much. that total "SURELY you don't mean ME!?" look?? really now. get over yourself, Chris. i don't own his cd. i didn't like that song he came out with. the only thing i liked was the chorus. and the funny thing?? i love how he claimed that he wrote it, and that Ace co-wrote it with him. and then, come to find out, Chris didn't do a damn thing, and Ace only wrote the chorus. go figure, right? lol.

even Simon chimed in after a while with him "you need to do something different" and he never did. but you know who else was like that?? Kellie Pickler. i liked her in the beginning, too. and then she did the SAME thing over and over again. and there was never any emotion when she sang, just the same death stare. i got sick of her too.
