Awesome voice. She blew me away and I hope she goes on and we hear more good stuff from her every week.

Mark my words right now - the season is going to be defined by a battle of the divas just like season 3.

Thank goodness the girls were SO much better than the guys!!! I'm still not sold on the season yet, but at least it showed a glimmer of hope!!

I think a guy or 2...probably Chris S or blake will work there way in the top 3 or 4....the guys will get better....

Thank goodness the girls were better than the boys. They really made last night look even worse and I was not sure that was possible.

I voted for the ones I would like to see again next week: Stephanie, Lisa, Jordin, Nicole, Melinda and Lakisha. The rest I was kind of bored while they were singing and/or their voices just don't impress me.

It wouldn't surprise me to see the two finalists this year both be women - at least after tonight's performances.

I'd say that Melinda & Lakisha have a chance to battle it out in the finals. IMO they'll both make it big.

Stephanie: Thought she set the tone for the night. I liked her.

Amy: Not bad, not great...just so so.

Leslie: Didn;t know why they put her through in the first place.

Sabrina: I liked her even though I never heard the song before.

Antonella: Yuck and more yuck.

Jordin: I like her, bubbly and cute. She took a song I hate and made me like it a little bit.

Nicole: Bye Bye Nicole.

Haley: why sing the same song you already did? Because they liked it once? Celine she is not!

Melinda: Liked this one...but why does she hunch her shoulders so much...and then they put on a jacket that looked too small and had shoulder pads...it distracted me from her voice.

Alaina: Not bad, but no one can sing Chrissy but Chrissy.

Gina: Not bad, but I really hate that song.

LaKisha: what can I say! WOW!

Loved Stephanie, Sabrina, Jordan, Melinda and Lakisha! I also liked Gina but was expecting a rock song from her. Everyone else was boring and forgettable with the exception of Antonella who was downright horrible.

Any one who can sing Tracy Chapman is a fan of mine. Although Jordin probably wasn't alive when Tracy Chapman sang the song--but thats an aside point.

Lakisha did great--you could tell she really wanted it.

My daughter loves Gina so I voted for her for my daughter--her line was very easy to get through though

Some of the ladies--I am shaking my head as to why they were put through. No one should sing the Pretenders like that--that was hideous! I would expect Gina to sing that--not that dreck of a song

Bye Bye Antonella--that was just awful all around. She couldn't have done a better Aerosmith song, or traded with one of the Celine girls for an Aerosmith.

Haley: Too cute and and a very one note presentation.

Lost is over. Here's my thoughts on the night.

Overall, it was a good night, but honestly, it was really nothing to get super-excited about. There were four or five good singers, but the rest were just as lukewarm as the guys.

Looking forward to seeing them improve: Jordin, Stephanie, Haley, Alaina, and Gina

Overrated: Sabrina

HATED: Nicole, but I liked her personality and I think she can sing.

Good, but not Great: LaKisha. Sorry, but I can't stand it when folks pull out that song. LaKisha can sing, don't get me wrong, but that song is just an all-out ploy screaming "LOOK AT ME!" I really can't stand it when people sing that song. I hope that in the upcoming weeks, LaKisha shows she can sing by choosing better songs. This may sound harsh, but to me, she seems like Fantasia Redux. Yes, I like her a whole lot more than Fantasia, but I get the feeling that Lakisha would release a cd just like Fantasia's and I sure as heck know I'm not buying any Fantasia cds.

My favorite: Without a doubt, Melinda Doolittle. 1866IDOLS09

Going home: some combination of Amy, Leslie, or Alaina. I'd say Antonella, but I'm sure she's votefortheworst's pick and she's likely to do reasonably well because of that.

Lakisha is definitely my favorite. She can really sing. I think Simon is right that the others will be packing their suitcases, because she will be the winner. Although, the fact that they make them sing different genres of music, I guess that could hurt her, for example, a country song, but time will tell.

If you liked Sabrina, her number is: 1(866)IDOLS-04. (She sang "Never Loved a Man...the Way that I love You"). I'm concerned that she performed in the middle, right after the forgettable Leslie Hunt(who?) and right before the William Hung-esque Antonella.

My faves are Lakisha(12), Melinda Doolittle(09), Sabrina(04) and Stephanie(01).

Well I finally agree with Simon....everyone else should go home. My favorite is Lakisha. That girl just blew me away. I don't often "feel" anything when someone sings, but I did with her.

I also liked....number 9 and number 11...please forgive me I can't remember their names. Tonight I was impressed....I think the boys should go home.

Oops, my bad.

I was trying to keep up with the performers & writing down the title (or at least a first line) as they were singing & scribbled down Sabrina with "The Way that I love you" & got her song scrambled with Leslie Hunt's.

I think next time I'll try to jot down if the outfit was good or baaaaaaad. One poster described an ugly outfit & I wanna remember the good/bad ones next time.

I think she could actually do a great country song...she could do Martina, Faith, Reba, even Carrie and do it well...she has a powerful and I dont think a genre will trip her up....now if they do artist weeks she could stumble....certain artists could cause her problems....but that goes for any singer
