From MJ's blog. Apparently the judges were confronted with the Antonella thing and this is what they said.

Arriving late, after coming from taping AMERICAN IDOL (and I’m guessing a quick dinner) Ryan brought along Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell and I asked them whether or not they had seen the photos of Antonella that had been leaked on the internet. At first Randy joked, ” Who’s Antonella?” but then Simon got very serious when I showed him several of the photos in question, “You know what, whoever sold those is despicable. I really mean that. It’s despicable. That is private property. Out of order. Honestly. It’s repulsive.”


Cowell believes photos showing nudity should not be grounds for dismissal. “These people haven’t done anything illegal; that’s their private life,” he stressed. He believes that the racy photos of Barba should “not affect her standing on the show, and if the public wants to keep her in, they’ll keep her in.” (Barba performs with the remaining female singers on Wednesday’s show; two men and two women will be eliminated Thursday.)

Though he said he had not yet seen the photos, Seacrest added that he would “absolutely let (Barba) stay on. If American Idol is a true representation of American youth, we’re going to find imperfections. And it’s OK to be imperfect.”

Bravo i applaud them....i personally see no harm in them either...and none of the one i saw showed any exposed body parts.... ....she made a mistake and did not put those pictures out herself....i think it was her friend that got cut and Antonella should research it and prosecute whoever did it....JMHO

I agree a couple of pictures were distasteful.....like the tp picture....but the American beauty picture was a very nice tasteful pic i thought and if a model had taken that picture she would bo nt the cover of every magizine around

I'd love to personally see her assassinated tonight but frankly, she shoots her own self in the foot every time she gets on stage. And her typical "I'm not listening to YOU" behavior will result in more bad performances since she sees, or HEARS, nothing wrong with the way she sings.. "I choose to listen to the deranged Drug Addict judge because she tells EVERYBODY that they're good and they look good...

I find their reasons a direct picture of the moral barometer of this world who have taken women's body parts and sent them back to caveman times.

But I digress....

I'd love to personally see her assassinated tonight but frankly, she shoots her own self in the foot every time she gets on stage. And her typical "I'm not listening to YOU" behavior will result in more bad performances since she sees, or HEARS, nothing wrong with the way she sings.. "I choose to listen to the deranged Drug Addict judge because she tells EVERYBODY that they're good and they look good...

I dont see that way i think the woman's body is admired by many men and women alike....i do think things get a bit raunchy at times but to see a beautiful woman is just as nice as seeing niagra falls....they are both Gods work of art....i think some of the pictures she has done namely the American beauty picture signifies this....but i agree with you to an extent that we as men look at women sometimes as pardon my terms a piece of meat and that makes us look bad but i guess it goes both ways....

I also think that Antonella is a bit confident in herself....nothing wrong with that I admire a person with confidence but at the same time you need to listen to at least Simon and take some constructice critisism but did simon really give her any????

Now thats funny...robin you always give me a laugh.....we are both very straight forward people I think...I get that feeling anyway....I know I have a tendency to spout stuff out before my brain processes it... ....I kinda wear my emotions on my sleeve....oh well

She gets that little girl being yelled at by her mom look in the face whenever the critique begins.

I get the feeling she's been getting away with murder based on her looks all of her life. She will not survive in this business NOT taking constructive criticism. Maturity will kick in one day, after her assets are below her "asset"...

You obviously didn't see the pics that I saw when I googled her name yesterday. They were something that you'd find in an adult (very adult) magazine. The pics I saw showed her "performing" an "act" on a male. Now, they could very well have been doctored, I'm not sure, as I didn't care to look that close or for that long. If they were doctored, then shame on the person that posted them. If not, then shame on Antonella.

Yeah I didnt see too much of those...I saw some of her from it looks like Prom or a party....dancing, and of course the TP shot and the American beauty pose....but nothing that I would say I didnt see at the George Strait concert Saturday night....heck there was a couple in there 50's right in front of us and they were all oer each other I thought they were gonna drop on the floor and go to town right there...I finally said something to them it was distracting to me and they were sitting right next to a kid who was about 8 or so.... the one with her and a few friends topless but there arms covering them was a little risque but nothing too bad....also if she tooks pics of her doing stuff with a guy then that was just dumb on her part has she not heard of Paris Hilton....I agree she shouldnt have done that....

Okay, the girls were way harder since most of them didn't initially remind me of anyone. I looked at the photos on AI and finally saw resemblances to other people.

Alaina = Mariah Carey
Antonella = Hercules Horse - someone else said it, but man it's true.
Haley = former Miss USA Ali Landry
Jordan = Synclare from Living Single
Gina = Pink - she has that same angry attitude
Leslie = that chick from Wings
Melinda = Crush the Turtle - I thought she looked like a turtle sticking her neck out of it's shell and when I searched turtle images I saw Crush and OMG!
Sabrina = proboscis monkey - okay, this is really mean, I know it. But she reminded me of Barbara Streisand and when I did a google image search for Babs with "big nose" this monkey came up and well, you guys be the judge.

Gina Glockson - Alone - There is absolutely nothing that I like about this girl. I think that she is too rough, too cocky and not that talented. Didn't enjoy her performance at all. Oh and someone tell the backup singers to shut up! - "5"

Alaina Alexander - Not Ready to Make Nice - While this girl is utterly beautiful, she just doesn't have a singing gift. She is no more talented than probably 200 or so that they sent home. I also agree with Simon. I thought that she had asthama they way she ran out of breath about five lines into the song. - "6"

LaKisha Jones - Midnight Train to Georgia - I love this girl. She really would have nailed the entire song, but her nerves did her in a bit at the beginning. I do wish she would since something a bit less loud next week. If you guys remember, that's what killed Mandisa - she could only sing the wildly loud songs. I think Lakisha will fail if she doesn't vary her song types a bit. - "9"

Melinda Doolittle - My Funny Valentine - Now this girl can sing. I loved her performance it actually gave me chills. I agree that she dressed better last night and looked nice. I don't agree with Simon - I think that the praise will eventually go to her head. Gosh, I hope not. = "10"

Antonella Barba - Because You Loved Me - Send this girl home. I don't agree with Paula. I don't even think she's pretty. She's tacky and trashy and a poor sport. - "0"

Jordin Sparks - Reflection - I like Jordin but, how many times to the judges have to say to stay away from Whitney, Celine and Christina songs before the contestants believe them? She is way better than the performance she gave last night. "7"

Stephanie Edwards - Dangerously in Love - I hate Beyonce so I am naturally not familiar with this song, but I, like everyone else apparently, thought she was screwing up the song. It sounded like she was trying to squeeze too many words into one line. Anyway, shame on her for assuming that the entire audience was familiar enough with Beyonce to know that she sang the song properly. She may go after this performance even though I really think she's good. "4" for song choice "7" for singing.

Leslie Hunt - Feeling Good - This performance was just plain painful. She isn't forgettable because she sucked so bad. Leslie has one tone to her voice and I don't think it's a good one. "3"

Haley Scarnato - Queen of the Night - I feel so badly that this girl sang this song. I really think she has a great voice but she isn't choosing the right songs. She really had the moves down though and I could easily see her as a pop princess ala Britney. Poor thing! "5"

Sabrina Sloan - All the Man That I Need - I like Sabrina. Not too impressed with this performance, but it wasn't bad either. She can do better. "7"

I still think the back up singers and band have negotiated a contract that gives them way too much air time.
