BUT they never call her on it like they did the other ones. They also never gave her any grief over STANDING still for every song, she never performed just stood in front of the mike, won't that be exciting to watch for a 90 minute concert.
First off I like both Blake and Jordin. Second did you not hear Martina Mcbride tell each of those contestants its about standing in a place and singing those songs from your heart. Martina is one of the best voices on the planet and has sold a gazillion records and her concerts are always sold out, so she must know what she is talking about. Jordin can get away with standing there and singing BECAUSE she can SING. Most of the songs she sings comes with emotion. She has a cry in her voice and it seems to me that she can get that because she might just be an emotional person.
And to the posters who think she is faking her crying I totally disagree. First people say she is too "perky" and then now they complain when she shows emotion. Also, anyone out there that sings for a hobby or living ever had that experience when a song or moment while singing completely takes you over. I'd like to think that happened to her. Melinda had some of those times. It's a moment when you basically have an outer body experience. If you haven't experienced it, it is kinda like a high you get when you run or exercise. It is a type of uphoria that you feel when you connect with a song. And to think of all that has been put on this 17 year old girl. All the expectation and responsibility is a lot for her to handle. In fact don't 17 year old girls cry at pretty much everything? But to have finally come to the end of four amazing and exhausting months. I would be blubbering too.
Blake has great performance skills, but you REALLY have to like the beat boxing and him bopping. It may just really come down to style. I really like to watch someone who can sing. I enjoyed Blake and routed for him when he did well and voted for him too. But I would be one of those people that would be really tired of the beat-boxing thing. No matter who wins they both will go far.
