okay IDOL needs to stop filling airtime with fluff and stuff and start putting on more of the singing! i felt like we hardly saw anyone sing last night!!

I'm bad on getting the names right, too many to keep up with. Is Ace the guy that had the shoulder length curly hair? DW Lauri was going through the audition picking people out and comparing them to last years contestants. She said he reminded her of Constantine because he knew how to work the audience when he sang.

Yes, that's him. He will be in the final 12 and do well...he can sing and he has the looks for the ladies to vote him on (which is OK by me)!

In case you don't know...the twins had a run in with the law and were dismissed from Idol. They will not be in the final. Thank goodness...so arrogant!

My 16 year old said he reminded her of Constantine too...just not as creepy! LOL. (we were not fans of his last year)

Ace is a hottie and he can sing! Chris D and Taylor hicks have voices that just wowed me.

I also wish we saw more of the singers and not so much time spent with those arrogant twins...why they were shown so much is beyond me. The show was taped, by now they know they aren't going any furthur due to their legal troubles...they must know that the people that watch the show all know it too...so why keep showing them? Waste of airtime when we could be seeing the singers.

thank you for that update, I would have been saddened to see them move on. There are so many others that deserve to be there that don't have attitudes.

You could really tell from the crowd reaction who was really impressive. Ace sure did get those girls going!!! Taylor Hicks, Chris Dougherty and a few of the girls seems to really wow them too.

I think that this will be a good season. There are some really lovely personalities as well as lookers and singers!

Wo is the guy with the gray hair? I don't know, he does something funky weird with his body when he sings, not sure I can get used to it.

That was too funny, the girl with the larangitis moved on, and then the montague of all the "sick" excuses!

Difference was, the judges could HEAR she lost her voice....the other singers were just desperate.

I said it in my first post on this thread and I want to be on record now...the next American Idol IS going to be the bald rocker dude from Greensboro (my neck-o-the-woods). He was amazing last night!!! I am annoyed I can't remember his name. He has a wife who is a bit older who has kids and he works for an auto dealership.

I don't have a link, but the Hollywood shows are taped and my understanding was they were arrested after that. Last I heard they had been jailed, but they could possibly be out on bail now. Someone posted on this thread that they signed a deal with someone. If they signed a deal with another company than they are no longer in the running for Idol at all, because they would be under contractual agreements not to do that.


Also, it is possible that they were not dismissed but didn't make it through the next round. That way the producers wouldn't have to make any statements about them.
