We also need to remember, the Producer's CREATE drama. Brenna may be being told what to say. Kim Locke...she almost went home one week after telling Simon off. She refused to do it again. It seems the Producers were "encouraging" her to mouth off to Simon.

The heavy woman this past week. The one who told Simon he hurt her...I couldn't help but notice she said "Simon, alot of people want me to say a lot of things to you, but here is what I am going to say"

At 1st, I thought she meant the other contestants wanted her to tell Simon off, when I realized that made no sense, it occured to me that "a lot" of people are the Producer's.

what a class act she was. Good for her for sticking to her morals. Not onely does she have a fantastic singing voice she is a nice person!!!

I believe he said that AFTER she left the room though. He did make some other comments they showed later that occurred while she was in the room.

But bigger stage was after she left the room.

The top 24 episode was filmed after the auditions had already been aired, so Mandisa would have seen it on television already. The top 44 episode was filmed on Jan. 24 so the top 24 was even later. Mandisa's audition was aired on Jan. 17. There was lots of time for her friends to tell her what she should say.

I do agree that the producers encourage and discourage contestants from saying things but I think Mandisa is old enough to make her own decisions.

On LIVE Simon mentioned Brenna and her 'atrocious' attitude, but still admitted that he liked her...go figure~! but too agree she can sing.

I think Brenna will be the Makela of this season. The only difference is that Makela tried to use the attitude to hide a sub par voice. Brenna does seem to have the chops. She'll be entertaining at least.

I was just thinking as I was reading this thread that I didn't recall seeing an article on them in the paper. I guess I missed it in Friday's paper. Either that or they only printed it in the Westchester edition, not the Rockland edition (but I doubt it.)

It's Tuesday, It's Tuesday!!!

Actually it's tomorrow night I'm really excited about. Taylor will be singing and, after listening to some of his music online, I just can't wait!!! Wow can that boy sing.

I am eagerly waiting for tonight! Finally we get to hear them sing! (since most we have heard so far has just been bits and pieces or not at all).

I have to work until 8:30 tomorrow night, whcih means I won't get home until about 9pm. so we'll be taping the first part for me.

So far Taylor Hicks and his schtick just bug me. He just seems over the top. I culd change my mind I guess and he could win me over but as of now I am not a fan.

I find it interesting how the producers pick and choose what sob stories they want to use. I say, do away with the sob stories altogether, gives some contestants unfair advantages.

I don't know, I think it makes them more human.

What I don't understand is why they know so many sad things but can't find their arrest records until AFTER the fact!

I can definitely hear Paris, Taylor and Kellie doing those songs. I agree, Taylor could pull off that one, and it's certainly not an easy song to do justice to. For the life of me, I can't remember ever hearing Heather sing, so I don't know about that song for her. Can't wait!!!

Paris doens't sing Heatwave.. she does another song.

Heatwave was last weeks rumor. According to my sources, she sing another song. Think Gladys Knight....

Also Because the Night is a Patti Smith, not Patti La Belle song. Bruce Springsteen wrote it for Patti, who sang it. It was also recorded by the folk style group 10000 Maniacs back in the early 90's.

And I think Nanna that Mandisa song is incorrect as well. I have another Heart song as the actual song. .

Thank goodness for Tivo! That is ALOT of time to devote to one show! I'll be FF thru the junk. I'm really looking forward to seeing them all sing FINALLY! IMO, the auditions are just too long. How many terrible singers do we really need to see? Can't wait til tonight!

ITA-I love my Tivo. I'll watch something else for the 1st hour and then switch so I have enough to FF over I can't wait to see the guys tomorrow night.

Hey Cindy B, I just noticed your tags and think they are hilarious-I once poured Pine Sol down the drain so dh would think I mopped the floor (it was clean already, why fix what's not broken ) , I see I'm not alone !!
