But for the finale, I am going to throw all my votes to Katherine.
I am so sick of hearing Taylor say "Soul patrol" after every song.
Yuck, shut up already.
Maybe my votes can add a little suspense to the evening.

Thank you so much damo for posting those links to the 2004 Canadian Idol performances back in April. I was able to find the ones from my all-time fav episode (Gordon Lightfoot!). I could only view them with Internet Explorer--they didn't work with netscape.

AI is great--but I can hardly wait for CI to start in 2 weeks!

To our American friends who are AI fans--if you can get Canadian Idol thru Satellite or Cable--it's worth watching!! The host is Ben Mulrony, son of our country's former leader, Brian Mulroney (would be kinda like having Chelsea Clinton hosting AI). He is a terrific host and the talent has been superb!!

I got tickets for the 7/7 and 7/8 show. I found out they added a second show accidently when I clicked on "find tickets" in the seating area for the DCU Center. They hadn't even announced the second show yet so I lucked out getting tickets.

I was able to get 2 presale tickets in section 202, they weren't releasing any tickets in the lower sections. Checked several times thru the day.

When they went on sale this morning I was only able to find one seat available for 7/8 and I needed 2. They had plenty of those.

Not sure I will go to the 7/8 one though. I may have my ex take my DD.

I can't believe I am going to go. This is the first time I have wanted to go see them.

I finally got tickets this morning! We got tickets for Hartford, CT, section 4, row E. A little farther than we wanted to travel, but at least we're going.

My DD tried to get tickets but they had sold out of the ones available for the presale. Have a great time!

I agree! Even if they came up to TMS, I could bunk in with DS, who livesin Denton. Or if they came down to San Antonio-Road trip!!! But right now, they're nowhere near us.

I would even drive to Oklahoma, Louisiana or New Mexico but NOOOOOOO......St. Louis is the closest place and that's not close at all.

From the word in many other message boards, lots of other people feel the same. In fact, they have added a vowel in front of "soul patrol" to convey exactly how they feel!!!

I may vote again next week because I hate to be left out of the finals. I'll vote for Taylor I guess.

It says a LOT about the character of people who find that funny.

It's so funny that this thread went from dogging Kevin to Kellie to Elliott and now Taylor. Typically some people don't feel good unless they're putting someone down.

Oh Robin, it's a tv show and it is funny. It's all funny. The Elliott comments, the many Kellie comments, the Chris comments, the Taylor comments, the Brenna comments. They are all funny. It is reality tv and it is funny.

The Simon, Paula, Randy, Ryan and Clive comments. They are funny.

If it wasn't supposed to be entertainment, we'd have a whole bunch of different contestants and judges up on that stage.

We got our tickets yesterday for Phila, 7/22. At 10am my DH called and said we could get side view of stage, 13 rows back and was not sure about it because it had "warning...not full view" by the time he ran into check a computer in my sons room, they were gone and the seats were just horrible. Ended up with section 201, 11 rows back. That is about 1/2 way back from the stage.

We just heard an interview with Chris. I'm so impressed with how down-to-earth he is. He sounds really blown-away by all the incredible offers he's gotten. He really sounds like he's going to benefit from not having won the competition and locked up for a full year. (My understanding is that THIS year, BOTH #1 and #2 are locked up with 19 Management for a full year, not just the #1.)

I didn't think I'd be able to vote this week after the heartbreak of losing Elliott. Not just how he lost, but the homecoming videos really choked me up as well. Gedeon and Mandisa were my favorites at the beginning, but midway through Elliott really started to win me over.

I was just too angry to consider voting this week. That is until I saw Kat's reaction/Peish McPhee's reaction to Elliott getting voted off. It lacked class and was fitting with her little fits she's been having whenever the judges criticize her. I haven't been a big fan of Taylor since early on but I'm going to be voting hard. He seems to have a lot of humility and I think he deserves it more than Kat. He's also pretty unique and though I won't listen to his music, I'd like to have someone who breaks the mold on pop radio.
