So how do you think they will do the elimination tonight?
Two groups of two? I cant remember how they did it last year. Anthony went 4th last year, right?
Anyone remember how it went last year?

Just please dont let it be my Chris.
I will be heartbroken. My thumb hurts from hitting redial for 2 hours straight on my cell last night.

I'll still watch if he gets the boot, but I wont be voting anymore because I wont really care who wins.

Elliott’s the comeback kid! He kicked it up a notch last night and deserves another week. Kat had a terrible week, she should go home.

I like all the contestants but my favorite is Taylor. If he doesn’t win, I won’t be sad. I’d be fine with any of the remaining 4 being the next AI, I think they are all great!

Looooved last night's show. And it made me do something I NEVER DID BEFORE....

I actually VOTED 3 times for ELLIOTT!!!

He actually GOT to me! I think he brought out his big guns last night and I actually thought he was good. Kat... well, I don't know if it was nerves or what but I almost expected her to say in her best Southern accent "I BUTCHERED IT"!

Chris sounded good but looked out of it. I agree with the others, he looks bored. Taylor kind of looked that way a few weeks ago, but when we're down to the wire, it's NO time to be bored!

In order I'd give the following from Best to Worst:

Elliott
Taylor
Chris
Katharine.

I truly believe that Elliott's fan base will see him thru but I don't believe Kat's will. Besides, it wouldn't be a GOOD final 2 without Chris. It'll be more like the year with Fantasia and Diana DeGarmo... ... I spent the night thinking any vote for Diana would more be a vote against Fantasia. Chris vs. Taylor would be the ticket of the year, not to mention a ratings phenomena!

Simon was on the Today Show giving his "predictions". Of course he had to back peddle on his "Pickler Pick" from 8 weeks back... boy was HE off!!!... and last week it was announced that it was Chris' competition to win. Today he says it SHOULD be Chris v. Taylor but gave no winner.

We'll see.....

Agree with every word!!! Elliott's fan base seems to be growing and growing. Kat has had two bad weeks in a row. That got Mandisa and it got Kellie. I wonder if it will get Kat.

I heard that advertisement costs for the finale are similar to the superbowl!!! Wow!!! Idol is pulling in the money hand over fist.

I think Chris, and probably Kat, will "make it" with or without Idol. So if one of them goes home, NBD. By the end of the top 10 tour they'll be recording or performing somewhere.

Elliot has not been one of favorites. But I don't think anyone can dispute that he was amazing last night. I was surprised! Especially after Tommy seemed so hesitant in his comments. He has improved so much... but he still hasn't found his 'superstar look'... (remember when Clay made that jump??). Elliot just doesn't look like a star to me. Even though his singing has become pretty great, he comes across somewhere between "I hope you like me" and "gee, I can't believe I'm doing this good". Just MHO.

I hope Taylor wins, I think he's so original, and he has a charisma that sweet Elliot lacks.

I pulled the zabasearch link from another "IDOL" fan website. According to what I just read there....

DiolIdol does not include text votes or the votes from Hawaii. This morning (early) on the zabasearch site, Chris was shown in last place - I know because I checked. The site said that it would be updated at 2:00 p.m and I just checked and sure enough - things have changed.

Guess we'll just wait and see tonight.

Does anyone know the date of the final competition? Will it be May 23 and 24? Or will it be May 30 and 31?
I am hoping for the 23 and 24, but don't they skip one week and do it the last week of May?

It's been there all along - I've checked it every week right along with DiolIdol. The difference is the time of day they post their final results - DiolIdol early morning - this one, mid afternoon - after the text votes and Hawaii have come in.

All I know is that this site has been pretty on the mark each week, so we'll see what tonight brings.

The final is on Thursday night - May 25th. I only know this because it falls on the night of our daughter's 8th grade graduation.

All I can say is "THANK GOD FOR TIVO" and I pity the soul who blurts out the results to me ahead of time!!!

So, after DialIdol? Interesting. They seem to have no credibility with any of the Idol sites.

I wonder where they are getting the text messaging totals from because no one else seems to ever be able to get them. It's neat having two different scenarios!

This is one of the few weeks that the two sites have shown a vast difference in the lowest vote.

Guess tonight will determine which is the most reliable and whether or not they are somehow getting their hands on those text message votes.

Don't really care - I enjoy the surprise. Kind of wish I'd never found those sites this year.

Am I missing something? I see where it says May 9th who is in the lead, but under that is May 2nd results. So how do you know anything other than who is in the lead?
