wow, that link takes me back! thanks - i had been trying to figure out where to find info on past contestants. i totally forgot that they used to let them sing 2 songs per show - i wish they would still do that.

When the numbers trim down--I do believe they start doing 2 songs.

Don't recall what number that is--but basically when it gets a little more complicated to fill an hour with one song at a time.

I feel that the past few weeks, the contestants seem to have lost their "spirit". They seem tired and sort of defeated. They don't seem to have the energy that they all had when the show began. Maybe homesick Maybe totally exhausted from having to learn all the different songs and choreography for the group song. Maybe they miss the former contestants. Whatever it is, I hope they get it back, because a good performer needs spirit.

I missed last week's show, but DW told me Taylor had a similar performnace then too. One thing I really like about him is how he kind of spontaneously dances and moves. Tonight as he was singing (boring BTW) it looked like he was trying his hardest to stand still. His rear-end was sticking out, but the feet were not moving. Does anyone else think that maybe some hare-brained consultant has told Taylor he should stand still instaed of doing his gyrations? I think his moves are very endearing, and it seems he NEEDS to do that as he sings. Hope he makes his way thru this week!

I think he has 3 albums now....he is a tremendous singer from Down Under....Ace was right on with his current on the chart Keith Urban song....I have seen Keith in concert 3 times and he is great....The one thing my wife likes about him is He doesnt wear underwear....unknown fact I guess.....LOL.....

1. Ace....I have not been a Ace supporter but he was great tonight...just leave that ending off
2. Kellie....Country is her thing
3. Paris....she was getting on my nerves but has picked it up the last 2 weeks
4. Katherine....she was ok
5. Mandissa....she was ok....but they need to dress her better....no jeans please
6. Bucky....OK
7. Taylor....my favorite on the show but he was terrible tonight
8. Chris...I have been waiting for the ballad but I now understand why he rocks....he was not very good tonight
9. Elliott...I dont get his voice and I cant look at him...he was terrible....

Tonight was pretty boring! Here's my take:

Taylor - one of my favorites, but he bombed tonight. Bad song choice.

Elliot - didn't like it. He didn't sing bad, just think it was the wrong song for him. And I love that Garth song!

Ace - surprisingly good tonight! He did seem like he was struggling a little with the song though.

Chris - awesome tonight! Definitely a new and just as good side to him!

Bucky - I posted earlier in the week that this would be a good song choice for him, and I was so excited when he actually sang it! He did a great job!

Mandisa - my favorite girl, but terrible job tonight. Two bad weeks in a row...

Kellie - not one of my favorites, but did a great job! I was expecting a bit more from her though.

Katherine - this is the first time I've actually enjoyed her performance. She seemed more "alive" and less mechanical. Awesome job!

Paris - not bad, just ok. She didn't look comfortable singing that song.

My bottom three: Mandisa, Elliot and Kellie.

Top three: Chris, Katharine and Bucky
