2 things I found interesting:

1) Ace saying he is NOT going out with Essence, as she supposedly claimed;
2) Chris's wife just had a hysterectomy, guess he won't have any biological children (assuming he stays with his wife, which I hope he does).

No, it was the fact that she was an unwed mother. There were outrageous assertions that that disqualified her as an "Idol".

Whether it is Kellie, Katherine, Chris, Bucky, Fantasia or Ruben, it isn't right to sling mud just because someone you're personally not comfortable with is achieving something wonderful.

I may be getting old and my memory hazy. I guess my memories were influenced nby why I didn't like her. But, I definitely agree with you, I think some people are way too harsh and judgemental.

I think Bucky has a lot of potential to shine tonight if he picks the right song! I am so glad they are finally doing something more modern on AI! I am also relieved b/c it is something that Bucky will probably do well with (keeping fingers crossed) which means he might be around at least 1 more week and that would really make me happy! Love Bucky! I just hope he picks a great song and doesn't blow it with song selection or something!

I've never met the President but I have an opinion about him, as I do with ANY public person, from Tom Cruise to Dolly Parton... it comes with the territory.

Any person who choose to become a "celebrity", especially one who is VOTED upon by the general public, should consider themselves fodder, or choose another profession.

Our "judgments" good or bad, reflect in the votes, which is what will make or break them. This is a discussion forum, and gee, believe it or not, the place to air judgments about these people, none of which we will probably share air with or meet at anytime or place.

Right, this is a public a forum and I'm stating my opinion. Your opinions of the President are formulated from a better foundation of fact than those formulated on the AI contestants here. Kellie is being labeled a fraud, a fake,a put on, based on nothing that is factually based, just an "impression". Where do we go over the line from judgement to prejudice? There are definitely opinions being formulated here soley based on where Kellie comes from. How far removed are we from saying we don't like someone because they are from the south to saying we don't like someone because they are African-American? You're correct, people are free to pass judgments - it doesn't make them right.

No offense, b/c I definitely understand what you are saying, but I don't think anyone really has a problem with Kellie b/c she is from the South! I don't care for Kellie AT ALL and I live in Mississippi so trust me it has nothing to do with where she is from as judging her for being southern would make me a hypocrite, no? She just comes off as a little desperate to me. The ditzy thing may not be an act but I do think she plays it up some to get votes...smart on her part to some extent, annoying to me by a lot! I also cannot stand her singing voice and I do happen to like country music, just not her sound. I have nothing against her as a person so I don't feel I am being prejudiced, but I just cannot stand her as an AI contestant and will be happy when she goes home.

I also am in the minority and don't care for Katharine. That has nothing to do with her at all. I just simply am not crazy about her voice...or maybe it is b/c of the songs she has picked so far. My opinion of her may change if she picks songs that are more my style or something. Guess we'll see as the competition progresses since I believe she will be there for quite a while.

Well, heck, while we are at it I really do not like Paris either! Maybe I should state who I do like, might be quicker, lol! I like Bucky, Chris (although I would love to see him sing something that is more his own instead of copying another artist so much), and Mandisa! Taylor is also okay. Still haven't formed a true opinion about Elliott yet. The rest could go home tomorrow night and it wouldn't phase me.

I'm gonna jump on the Fantasia bandwagon if ya'll don't mind.

I liked this girl from the start, and as soon as I heard her sing, I looked at my wife and son and said..."She will win it all". As far as her being an unwed mother. Things happen. Does that not qualify her to be and "Idol"? I don't think so. I don't know if you all know she has a book out. It's called "Life is no fairy tale". It's a really good book. Kind of redundent in places, but it's a good book. She has come through some struggles in her life, but made her a beter life also. As far as her singing goes, it's a church thing. The girl grew up in a Pentecostal home. Thats the way they sing. Now I have to admit as much as I thought of her on the show. I thought her cd was really really bad. I have listened to it 1 time and that was it, but she is still great in my book

I guess that is why I like Kellie so much is because I always root for the underdog.

Kellie should sing something by Pam Tillis -- very similar sound.
Chris could sing the phonebook and I'd love it.
Ace doesn't need to sing -- just look longingly at me.

Taylor , to me has his own personality which is part of what makes him special. His jerky moves!! A lot of people are afraid to be themselves and he isn't. How often do you see that?

This is why everyone has an opinion just like they all have ... well you know what I mean.

I love Taylor, I look forward to every week with him. On the other hand I can't get into Chris at all. I guess that's what makes the world go round, huh?
