they interrupted Casey last year. they didn't storm the stage, but Randy stopped his singing. he was genuinely shocked. i don't think Jessica was shocked at all.

(i also think, in Casey's case, that it was a matter of people not voting because they thought he'd be safe. i don't think people necessarily think that with Jessica. but that's just my opinion.)

and yes, what are they saying on the AI boards?

and i agree that it is seriously insulting to the other contestants to tell America to "vote for the BEST." come one. people are going to vote for their favorite, regardless of what you tell them to do. and don't insult me by telling me that i'm voting WRONG. i'm voting for someone who i would actually LISTEN to.

Little OT, but does anyone know if you can eventually download individual sons from the performance? I went on Itunes last night but it only gave me the option of getting the album from the other night's performances.


I think Jessica, and then the rest of the girls are going to be gone each week after. Its just a gut feeling, because I think girls(teens) do most of the voting and I don't think they like voting for girls in general, even when they are the better singers.

You should be able to! Just search for the contestants name and it should pop up, if not let me know and I might be able to find it on itunes for ya. It can be tricky sometimes

Exactly! And we don't all listen to the same type of music, which is why they picked various types of singers. We're not going to vote on who is technically best, otherwise an Opera singer could be the next American Idol. It's not about who is the BEST, it's about who the audience likes the most and would listen to. I wouldn't listen to Jessica, nor would my DD12. I can't even get her to watch Idol any more because few of the contestants match what she likes to listen to. She loves Juliet Sims from the Voice.

I don't think so... remember the guy who made the final 12(I think...) but got kicked off because he had a record? I think there was an "extra" week because of that.

I also agree. Not only are they insulting the other contestants, they are insulting me. What they said last night is that you have poor taste if you like any of the other contestants better than Jessica. I am happy with my taste in music and I strongly prefer the way any of the others sing over Jessica.

I am also insulted by all of the WGWG talk. It is not a white or racial thing. I honestly usually prefer music that uses guitars or other stringed instruments. It is just pleasing to my ears. I think a lot of people like that type of music but it is OK if you don't. I would never say you have poor taste, your taste is just different.

It doesn't matter how technically good a singer she is, she's like a robot. People don't relate to her so they aren't going to vote for her.

I don't think she's like a robot,but her song choices stink. They're boring sonds. can she sing? Oh,yeah. She can and I'm sure she will get a record deal,but I wouldn't buy her album,too boring. Now,Elise is someone I would def buy her music!

The contestants will sing 2 songs next week. No word on theme yet.

Stefano from last season will return to idol on April 26th or 27th I believe.

The judges are pretty much putting down the other singers & saying they aren't as good as Jessica. It's quite crappy for the other singers.

That is what I thought when watching last night, and it royally ticked me off.
They saved Jessica for nothing cause I am sure she will be gone next week anyway.

Jessica certainly doesn't seem to connect at all with her peers. I don't see her selling out venues on a big solo concert tour. I also don't see her recording hit singles.

Maybe Jessica's best options will be starring in musical theatre.
Sometimes when she sings she reminds me of a young Lea Salonga. I think their ranges are the similar.
I think there's a good chance she'll end up on Broadway one of these days.

I also felt that the judges blatant fawning over Jessica was diesrespectful to
the other contestants. She is a yougn girl and has a great voice, but there is much more to being a performer/entertainer than that.

Personally, I think Elise is the best overall package on the show. Skylar runs a close second.

Colton's good although the style of music he chooses isn't my thing.

Hollie's good but young...like Jessica, she needs a little life behind her.

Phillip sings the exact same way every week and I get a little tired of his "I'm here for the musiic" baloney every week, as if he is the true artist and the rest are not. Plus I HATE the faces he makes while singing.

Joshua screams through every song IMHO. I find it tiresome as well.

We're crazy here, anyone can post but have patience with us.

I beg to differ, Jessica will do VERY well in R&B, she sounds like a lot of singers in that genre. She doesn't have enough personality and ability to emote on stage, imho. Skylar would be amazing on stage, she's believable.
