I did the same thing! I thought I was running late and was so upset. I was even more upset when I saw that lame show.

Just what WAS in his past? Hmmmm...I'm sure my mind is going in places in totally the wrong direction.

And I was another one who turned on Fox at 8:00...wasn't sure, so I wanted to check. Turned it back pretty quick too.

He had two crimes in 2011 he didn't come clean about to Idol, he's also apparently lied about the dad abandonment.

Jermaine Jones has been disqualified from further participation on American Idol after it was discovered that he concealed "multiple crimes," THR's Idol Worship has learned.

Jones announced his departure on Twitter, tweeting, "Awww I will no longer b on the show."

Jones was charged with two crimes in 2011, one involving violence, according to TMZ. In both arrests, Jones gave a fake name to police. He additionally did not reveal to producers that he has outstanding warrants.

Jones departure will pan out in dramatic fashion on Wednesday night's broadcast.

Fox had no comment.

How do they NOT know this stuff before having them sign the release? When I signed up for the Worse Cook show I had to sign what looked like War and Peace in paperwork. They could've found out his warrants by an internet search. I found my cousin's warrants in about a minute!

my guess is since the warrants were for a fake name it made it a bit harder, what started all this was the lie about his dad and started doing the digging.

What!!!! They made this big deal about following his family, letting him on as the extra sad story, then find out he's not what they tried to make him seem? Guess he isn't such a gentle giant, mama's boy.

I didn't know you signed up for Worst Cooks! That would have been so cool if you made it. I love that show.

Names are too easily changed, they would have to check SS numbers. All of this is easily accessible.

I'm wondering if this was a set up for buzz. Way too much of a oops.
