BTW: It drives me crazy the the Animals get credit for resutrecting House of the Rising Sun, when Dylan did it year before them.

And if anybody should get credit it should be the dude who traveled round the country and discovered it and recorded it. I remeber if it was on Wikipedia, or where I read it but apparently it was almost a forgoten traveling type song till he recorded it.

This group is even worse that the past two years... and that's DIFFICULT!! I'm so disappointed in this show this year... it's really sad.

At this point I'm not a fan of James or Haley but want them to win over the hillbilly twins. I don't think Jacob has a snowball's chance in heck but I'm over the high school talent show that this show has become.

I voted for Scotty and Lauren...I also voted for James but only 1 time. I felt sorry for him because he misses his family and got all emotional.



I think this is one of the better seasons AI has had. Beats last year by a mile. The year before was just so so. Hated Adam, liked Chris and Alison but that was pretty much it.

Year before was the DC year..'nuff said.

Season 6..Jordan won and she was good..but that was also the year of Sanjaya...ugh. Season 5? The good ones got voted off early and left us with Kat and Taylor...Hicks anyone????? #4..Carrie Underwood..had some other good ones too.

That brings us to season 3..that was the season Jennifer Hudson got voted off and with her gone it was just plain old icky singing that I can't believe I actually watched. That was one train wreck of a season.

#2 had the final 3 of Ruben, Clay and Kimberly...I liked all of them and had no clue who to vote for or who I wanted to win. Voted for Clay the most in the end. Which brings us to the first. Kelly and Justin final 2...perfect ending...and we had our "why is she still here she is terrible" Nikki.

I missed James' first performance but his second was so good. I do not care that a few of his notes were off, he really put everything into that song.

Jacob can go home anytime. Did not care for him tonight in either song.

Lauren was okay. I liked her first song better than the second but neither wowed me.

Scotty was good but getting a little tiring.

Haley can go home tomorrow night. The Lady Gaga song was horrible as was "House of the Rising Sun" how the judges thought it was the best of the night boggles my mind. her attitude turns me off.

JAMES: (Closer to The Edge) I don't think i am familiar with this song. I don't really love it to be honest. there's a whole lot of atonal-messiness here.


JACOB: (No Air) So not surprised he's chosen a chick song...I HATE this song...and I hate Jacob singing it. He's off the timing too. This is not good. Wow...ouch.


LAUREN: (Flat on the Floor) Will she come out of her shell tonight? This is energetic sure, but she still looks like a deer in the headlights.


SCOTTY: (Gone) Wow...everybody is sucking wind tonight. This is not Scotty's best effort. And he's still playing the flute.


HALEY: (You and I) I honestly don't know this song, but Haley is sadly the strongest performance thusfar.


JAMES: (Without You) I do love this song...And it's clear that James has a connection to it and his family. So far i really like this softer side of him. Not his best effort ever, but so sweet.


JACOB: (Love Hurts) Once again he is ahead of the tempo (or behind it). he just can't seem to find the rhythm. But vocally it's way better than his first song. However I would've have preferred him to keep the whole song soft instead of shouting it.


LAUREN: (Unchained Melody) An overdone song for sure, but maybe she can spice it up? Why is she dressed like Farrah Fawcett? Her problem is all in her eyes...so unexpressive. They always look the same...frozen...lifeless. But she CAN sing. I dunno. It just left me cold.


SCOTTY: (Always on My Mind) He sounds like kenny Rogers...he did a cover of this song too didn't he? This is another not-my-greatest-moment for Scotty. It's safe and boring.


HALEY: (House of the Rising Sun) Now I LOVES me this song...but can Haley do it without butchering it? Also, does she know this song is sung by a man about a BROTHEL?? I don't think she has any clue what this song is about. however, it sounds really good, so kudos to her.


So, an evening of overall disappointments. here's my take...don't hit me:
