The musical guests sound like such a bore tonight. I hope this hour goes by fast.

I don't think he has a Business degree in his future. That has never been his thing. His intention was always to teach high school English. However, he decided against the Education minor during his last semester, meaning he didn't do the student teaching. So who knows?

So how did you put your English degree to use? I think there really are lots of things you can do with an English degree. The problem is finding them!

I also have a BA in English Comp Literature. But that was over 30 years ago!!! I got my first job at Macmillan Publishing Co in the publicity dept writing publicity releases. It was fun work but LOW paying. I got my first job in radio one year later and the rest is history. I've been using my English and theatre careers to navigate my way thru the broadcasting field for 30 years now. Education is NEVER wasted. I still use my skills with my son and every single time I read or write anything. My son sent me a play he wrote just today to proofread and for my impressions. I'm blessed he shares my passion for the written and spoken word!

I do think it has been more contentious this year than many of the others. I don't even really love any of the contestans, but there are a few who I don't like at all musically. Just because I don't think they are great singers/musicians doesn't mean I think they stink as a human being.

And I do agree that Laura held her own and that of all David A fans with her enthusiasm. I don't see any other fan that has ever held up that well in any season.

And everyone was respectful of Laura. Not sure if it was because she was so young or just that the respecting others opinions was there.

I try very hard to be respectful, just because I don't like who you like doesn't mean I don't like "you". I try very hard to keep my comments to the singing part of it..I may slip once in awhile, but I try.

A big favorite of mine! He also did Fringe, Alias, Cloverfield and since it deserves to be mentioned twice, Star Trek.
