I'm wondering if you (or anyone else!) have gone in and tried this yet? If so did they give you $50 credit towards a different doll or did they let you just trade one doll for another?

I sent mine with my sister to exchange a week ago (she lives in Columbus). I haven't heard back, so I assume she hasn't had a chance to try yet.

My Mom was able to exchange a Marie-Grace bought on sale for an Emily in the VA store yesterday.
No hassles, very easy.

I wouldn't get hopes up that you are able to exchange for a different full price doll. I think the PP is the exception. CS is aware that both MG and C are sale dolls. Many of the boxes have been marked to denote this. I have heard more often than not that customers could not exchange for a different full price doll or had to pay the difference. They may not even exchange them for the same doll since they were so deeply discounted. I would call ahead and speak to someone.

I have heard the opposite. And my box is not marked. I looked. Unless it is some secret black light code. If we can't, no big deal. But honestly they will put that doll back in stock and sell her for full price. They won't loose money.

From what I have been told returned dolls are not returned to stock they are sold at the yearly discount sale.

Exchanged the doll at the Tyson's corner VA store, called the DC store.
