Amazon hasn't charged me but I got my items

I made an order a month ago and it arrived fine. But the order status page still says "item not shipped" and they haven't charged me for it! I emailed them about it and they STILL haven't charged me. I'm wondering if there is a limit as to how long a retailer can take to charge you for a purchase. I'd like my checkbook to actually equal what my available balance is and this is bugging me. I wonder what would happen if I cancel the order...

Yes but see the money is BURNING a hole in my pocket as we speak...LOL. I just need it to be done and paid for.

I have items that haven't cleared in months.....the bank says that it must have gotten lost in transaction (Debit card used) and that I can just consider it lost and add it back to my balance. I just leave it deducted and maybe one day they'll take it out.....if it stays this way till the new year I'll probably just call the company in question and run them the cash by for what I purchased. Amazon and some other online retailers that I've shopped with sometimes take a month to take the money out of my account, even though the item has been received/used....etc.

Must just be the way they run things? But after that month I'm thinking that it's probably lost, and sadly even if you call Amazon they'll probably assure you they got their money and leave you hanging.
