Did anyone notice how the team with the widow and 3 kids was driving? The daughter drove with her left leg on the seat rather than the floor by the pedals. Maybe it is because we are teaching our daughter to drive, but we noticed that.

:scared: I wouldn't ride with someone who drove like that and I hate the thought of being on the road with her!

In my near-disaster with my new car, I had to use both feet on the brake pedal to get that thing to stop. I hate to think of what would have happened if I'd had a leg up in the air "resting" it. Drivers shouldn't be "comfortable."

Did you see when the little boy fell in the creek and he yelled, "I need help here" and his dad came over and lifted him out of the creek by his pants.

Actually I remember thinking that the parents were moving pretty slowly to help their son. I don't know...maybe the boy is a strong swimmer. I know that if I saw my kid fall into a creak I would be running pretty quickly. :confused3

I DVRd the show and just got a chance to watch. The first episode is a little hard to get into because you don't "know" the players yet. I can see myself liking some of the teams already though.

I like the team with the 3 brothers and 1 sister, hope they get it together soon. I also like the man with his 3 sons-in-law. Can you imagine running a race like this with your inlaw? :rotfl: I also like the team with the little girl and boy. I was LMAO when they were in the buggy singing "she'll be coming around the mountain" and passed up the in-law team and the one guy was saying how embarassing that was. :rotfl2:

I'm a little dissapointed that the rumors about Rupert were not true. I think it would have been really fun to watch him and his family race.

Looking forward to next week!

Just watched the tape....

two funny moments not mentioned....

When the son on the New Orleans family referred to the Pink Ladies as the Desparate Housewives.

And the best funny moment....

When the family with the boy and girl---finishing up the buggy ride---son says good job mom, "sorry I couldn't contribute more." And the little girl says..."Get used to it, dork." I just didn't expect her to say it and thought it was hilarious!

Robin--your aka's are a hoot!

Thanks :). I was just trying to lighted things up and I borrowed some nicknames from previous posts. They seemed to fit so well ;). I admit that I was afraid that I would step on some toes after the whole The Team Who Shall Not Be Named fiasco of season 7.:rotfl2:

I was going to say something about that, but I couldn't remeber why she said that to him. I was rolling on the floor...that was just too funny! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I can't beleive more people here aren't upset about the throwing a handicapped child into the street to stop traffic thing!!! I want that man gone!

I really don't care for the marathon runners. They did seem snobby to me in their opening statements. And shoot, my DH can run a 7 minute mile too - for a mile! ;)

I was infuriated--but his family was embarrassed enough and his wife got on him for it. Don't think he'll be saying it again.

Completely different if the whole family :rotfl2: over it.

Hi all! Just subscribing here!
DH and i watched the show and are rooting for either the dad and daughters or the dad with SILs. We thought it was a great show and can't wait to see it again!

DH is 1/2 Italian, but his 100% side is just like the Paulos...ughhhhh...so we are rarely over there!! just a couple of them are like that but it's enough! the others are just loud and obnoxious!

Oh man! I missed that. Sometimes I fast forward too fast with the DVR. Let me guess ... was it the The Schroeders (Arrogant Dad Family, aka The Goth Family)?

You're GOOD!!!

Yes, it was them.

What bothered me more than anything was the off-handed way he said it. IMHO, he's made statements like that in the past. That stupid remark came far too easily. His wife seemed to be embarrassed, but I wonder if it was just for the camera?

Doesn't matter to me--he suggested they throw a handicapped person out in the street for their personal gain. No way can I support someone who thinks like that. I hope they're out soon.

I've never watched AR before this season (mom and I were looking for a show to get into during the lull between So You Think you can Dance and American Idol - yes, we're nerds ;)). I really enjoyed it - probably because I didn't know what to expect. My absolute favorite comment was "Pennsylvania, is that a state??" LOL!!! I'm excited for next week!!

I guess I missed that, what happened.
A 7 minute mile is very good for a child.
