First of all, I don't think the format of the show is fair. How can you have one team with little kids and another team with young 20-somethings or all men? It's no surprise that one of the little kid teams was gone on the first night. I really liked the Black Family
.
The Godlewski's
(The Sisters, aka The Pink Ladies)
I really liked this team. The worked together well, they were funny and I was shocked that they won the leg. Awesome!
The Gaghans
(Running Family with Kids, aka The Rugrat Team)
This is my favorite team. I love the kids and I think that they are a family of runners will help them again and again. I hope there are not too many challenges that will be too tough for the kids. I didn't think the mom's commant about travel was snarky at all. I bet she can drive a stick-shift on the "wrong" side of the road.
The Weavers
(Widowed Mom and Family, aka The Praying Mantises)
I am on the fence with this team. The seem OK, but their praying bugs me. I liked how they literally picked themselves up from the buggy accident and did the other challenge.
The Rogers
(Father as Head of Household by God Family, aka The Peacocks)
I really don't like this family because of the father's view of his place in the universe. Sure, he's allowed to feel that way and I'm allowed to dislike him. Enough said.
The Schroeders
(Arrogant Dad Family, aka The Goth Family)
I am on the fence with this family too. I think I like the kids, but I think the father's mouth is going to get him in trouble. The daughter is fair skinned with really dark hair, hense the nickname.
The Paolos
(Italian Bronx Family, aka The Screamers)
Rude, obnoxious, loud. I think I like them
. I was totally cracking up when the son said "Adventure of a lifetime and we can't get out of New York city!". They made an amazing recovery.
The Bransens
(Dad with Daughters, no aka yet)
I like this team. I really liked how the dad talked about how proud he was of his daughters. Nice team.
Aiellos
(Dad with SILs, no aka yet)
I just don't like the make-up of this family. The 3 strong guys really make it seem unfair. They seem like an OK team, though. I don't like or dislike them.
Linz
(Siblings, no aka yet)
Did I hear the sister say that she had 7 brothers?!? Oh my. I don't like or dislike this team either. Again, 3 strong guys will be an advantage. Plus, the sister seems to give 150% just to show her brothers that she's as good as them. I wonder if one of the people with AR finally clued them in that they could change who rode and who pushed/pulled.
