Sure they beat Wally and his daughters, but I hope the Linz family is real proud they beat a bunch of kids. I almost cried when I saw the little guy from the Black Family. When Rollie gave one of the Linz brothers some actual competition, then they got all mad and the sister said, "now it is getting personal". I wish the Weaver family would of won, just for the reason Rollie played as hard as all 3 of the Linz brothers.

They played the game to win. That was the point of the game. Nobody was going to roll over and say 'hey, let the kids win this one'. Not very good entertainment.

The brothers and sister got mad at the Weaver mom for yelling at them to leave the kid alone. It was an accident; they weren't looking to hurt the kid. They weren't actually mad at Rolly.

But the whole team has to play hard. Not just one person. Look at the stadium task. The Weavers gave up because 'it was too hard and unfair'.

Yes, CBS could have made every team had one or two people under 17 be on each team but they didn't. So the Linz had every right to play hard and win. I'm not sure being athletic had much to do with winning.

I'd like to see two of the Linz brothers on the real Amazing Race.

Yeah, the mom was screaming, and all it looked like to me was they tripped over each other. The Linz kid even helped Rolly up, and patted him on the shoulders, kind of a half-hug type gesture, like "you OK?"

One thing to think about though. The Weavers dad was killed in a racing accident while working at DIS ( Daytona International Speedway) I am sure the family was given a pretty handsome payment from the racing series and from the track itself due to the accident and subsequent loss. That and by the sounds of it they were fairly well off to begin with how many people in middle income families can afford acres of land and horses in Florida no one I know. Their whole attitude was terrible during the race and I was so happy they lost the car portion to the Bransons also I was smiling all night long after that it was just icing on the cake.

I liked Rollie too! The Linz boys seemed more immature than Rollie most of the time. I think people have forgotten some of the comments the Linz's made along the way. I liked Wally too! I wish the Branson's had beat the Linz's. I like to pull for the underdogs most of the time , and that would NOT be the Linz's.

Yeah, that stinks, the Bransens all already won cars. Oh well!

I was under the impression that they won A CAR. Not four of them. Also A YUKON, not four of them. I thought it was great they one, afterall they did come in the true second and deserved more than a pat on the back. It's probably a little difficult to share one vehicle between 4 people who don't/won't even live in the same household.

I still don't get this. :confused3 The only time I ever heard the Linz's speak badly about the Weaver's was in response to something the Weaver's had done to try to sabotage them, or had said something rude them. I never heard them speak badly of any other team.

Oh! I thought they each won a car when that was the prize. Sorry. You're right. If it was just one car then they did deserve it because they were the true second place team.

I know I am in the minority here, but I really loved this season. To see the USA and some of the things the locals are probably proud of, was the best part. I personally have seen enough of the crowded trains in India to last a lifetime!

While I didn't understand or agree with many of the things the Weaver's said and did, one thing stood out on last night's show. At least twice, the mother and girls mentioned that Rollie had to become the "man of the family". I think that is so wrong. He is a child and he deserves a chance to be a child. Mom is the adult and should not put that much responsibility on him. Even if she doesn't, he seems older than his years and may be taking the responsibility more seriously than Mom thinks he is.

The Lenz's seemed like nice people. Young and full of life. And enjoying themselves, which is really what it should be when there are so many competing for a single prize.

Was anyone else surprised that the Linz boys did not have Meg do the trapeze task? Lots of people here observed Meg as being lazy, yet she seemed to want to jump at the opportunity to do the trapeze, and the boys just ignored her, and sent the HEAVIEST one up. Wouldn't she have been the obvious pick? :confused3

I enjoyed this season but I missed the race going to the different parts of the globe. I understand why they decided to keep the race in the US for the most part but I'll be glad to see the new race in February and all the wild and exotic places they go.

I was rooting for the Bransens but glad the Linz family won. :teeth:

I also don't understand this. I have yet to see anyone back this up with a quote from something the Linz's said that was so rude or judgemental.

That was so cool. The curling rink is 2 miles from my parents place. The high school I went to is 50 feet away from the front entrance to the rink. It was a hockey rink when I was growing up. Not sure when it was converted to a curling rink.

All I know is someone posted a link to a betting article so I already knew the Linzes would win. An online betting site shut off betting for them according to the article. Same thing happened last year too with Uchenna and Joyce. I really hope these articles are NOT posted again. I was really mad when I read the article, I didn't mean to.

Forgot to say...

THANK GOD (OR RATHER THE LORD FOR ALL YOUR WEAVER FANS :) ) TAR FAMILY IS OVER!!

Bring on the REAL show!

I loved it too. I think it's great we promoted our own country for a change. The US has a lot to offer. I didn't find the sites boring at all.

ok I saw the Early SHow thi a.m.---did they have more than one segment?!? All I saw was the Linz's getting their $ w/Harry & Phil noone else around....where were the Weavers? Wonder why they were even invited? I think that's kinda rubbing it in theie face...unless all the teams were there - you know how Survivor has done in the past where all the teams are there for the final announcement....

The families with children didn't have a chance against the Linz boys and their sister. Rollie was about their only competition in the end.

I wish they could of kept the playing field to parents and their kids under the age of 16. It broke my heart looking at the kids faces in the end.

I agree wholeheartedly with you! I can't believe they even did this to the poor kids....if they wanted it to be family w/kids there should have been an age limit & then if they didnt' get 11 teams to apply w/young kids (which I DOUBT) then they could have done w/o those teams w/youngin's & had only adult kids/siblings ONE OR THE OTHER not mixed! The kids are the whole reason the tasks were so simple & then they got "kicked out" so early...we wouldn't have minded the easy tasks so much if it had been the Black family or Carissa doing them - KWIM??

did anyone else notice that the Weavers were not wet on their boat ride? when they got the clue they were still dry - what's up with that?
