That could be why poor Rolly was getting so frustrated with his mom and sisters when they gave up, and he wanted to keep looking. I was wondering why he did just go and look himself.
I liked one of the Bransen girls coment on how "smoking" her butt was going to be after doing all those stairs. :rotfl2:

Anyone esle disappointed they did not show the Weaver's finding out the teams had crossed the finish line? In past season's, when it has happened, a team that still has a task to complete, yet the race is over, they show them getting to the clue box, and the clue tells them the winning team has crossed the finish line. I SOOOO wanted to see that. That mom is such a poor sport. She actually said it was "unfair" when the other teams showed up at he stadium. HELLO? They had a huge lead on the two teams, it took them forever to find the door. Although, the stadium would of been a catch-up point anyway. I just hated her attitude. "Well, they KNOW we were first"

I think that the whole team had to go and looked for the clue.

No kidding, I was like " UNFAIR"? Bcs they didn't find it right away like the others team did?

Everything was good and Oh GOD an Oh Jesus when they were alone and OK, but if another team was behind them, there were Oh I hate this, no fair, oh whatever!

I definitely wanted to see that. One of the best moments in show history was in season 1 when Team Guido (still in Alaska) found out that the race had ended. They had to try to pretend that they were happy for the winners, although it was pretty obvious that they were anything but happy. I don't think any of the Weavers would have even prentended, and I would have loved to see it.

Actually, I heard them pray several times that "if it be Thy will." Don't leave that important piece of the prayer out. It changes the meaning of what they are asking for.

But on last week show , they said that they knew that god would make them win !

I missed last night episode, shot in my home town of Montréal ! When they are in the tunnel , looking for the first clue , they are right next to where I work ! I hope my city looked nice on the show !

Your town looked great, Toto! And I thought of you and our visit as they were in Montreal! :)

I taped the finale for my kids (as I do every week 'cause it's past their bedtime) and they actually woke up early this morning so they could watch. They were so excited to see that TAR was in our city (Toronto). Phil said something along the lines of "pick a task that is unique to this city." Then when Phil explained the sailboat task, my kids said "I thought they had sailboat in other cities too" :rotfl:

And then did your kids run outside and play that very popular Canadian sport, log rolling????? My son just can't get enough of it!

Thanks Rajah !

Did it look as hot as when you were visiting the Botanical gardens ? They are right next to the olympic stadium !

From what I read on the CBS web site, I feel they could have played a bit more with the fact that the city is the second largest french speaking city after Paris. Curling is very english canadian.

As far as the logging goes , alot of the early settles add log cabin as houses , so I can see a relation

Nope, sure didn't. It looked much cooler. It was VERY neat watching them go all over the city and being able to say "I've been there!"

The Weavers must have made some relationships along the way. We just didn't see them . Did anyone else notice that when they allowed all the families up on the stage, little Carissa ran full speed and lauched herself right into the arms of one of the Weaver girls? You can't fake those kinds of feelings from a 9-year old.

Every 4 years, during the Winter Olympics, we hear how boring curling is. I was laughing when the Linz boys kept saying how fun it was, and they could play it all day, and one even said he was going to open a Curling rink in Ohio. He can now with his $65,000.00 (or there-abouts. $500,000 divided by 7, subtract taxes) :teeth:

I liked when Carissa yelled "Yay, Wally!!!" too. She really seems like a terrific kid.

The Weavers will be on the Dr. Phil show, I'm betting...

Yup! Talking about how the other teams were ugly and mean to them, and all the abuse, and how GOD and Jesus and bla bla bla. :worship:

Go figure! I hope they can go to "What not to wear" first. Or "Extreme Makeover HAIR edition" :rotfl:

I noticed it too and thought the same thing.
I think the whole Weaver thing is a chicken and egg type situation. I'm not really sure who started it all. I think it all started in the airport when they were headed to Charleston and the brothers in law asked them a question and they didn't answer. I think they were shunned from that point forward and then they began to get really defensive and mean in return. I'm not sticking up for anyone's beahvior, just IMO. I've been bullied and picked on a lot in my life so I kind of related to the Weavers at first because when you are treated that way it can make you a very different person.

Was there an eating task this race? I can't remember one.

I read on another site that the Weaver girls babysat Carissa during the race. I think maybe one of the Bransens did too, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Been reading the thread since the beginning. The Amazing Race should have kept the playing field to at least one adult, or the parents and kids age 17 and younger. When I saw the Linz brothers and their sister, I figured they would win it. Almost every race has been one by the athletic guys, with the exception to a few guy/girl winners.

Sure they beat Wally and his daughters, but I hope the Linz family is real proud they beat a bunch of kids. I almost cried when I saw the little guy from the Black Family. When Rollie gave one of the Linz brothers some actual competition, then they got all mad and the sister said, "now it is getting personal".

I wish the Weaver family would of won, just for the reason Rollie played as hard as all 3 of the Linz brothers.

klj27,
You should really remove your post as to who is winning on the online betting, last year someone posted a link to an article about the very same thing, and it told that Uchenna and Joyce were the winners and some of us looked and were mad at ourselves for doing it since we were spoiled....I know a lot of folks here don't want to know that (Me included) and now I know by reading your post...could you please edit the names out of your original post?
If someone wants to click on the link and get spoiled then that is on thier own head, not yours ;)

Just a friendly FYI before too many people see your post and get angry.

I kind of stayed away from posting after I let some info leak at the beginning of the season. I was so thankful that someone told me of my mistake in a friendly manner. I truly didn't realize how accurate the information was. Now I am wondering how these things leak out. I guess a lot of people are there at the end to see who the winner is, but you would think they have to fill out some sort of agreement not to tell. It seems that the leak was in Ohio, hmmm, guess who told? ;)
