The Weavers were on the Early Show and the Bransons were, too. Did anyone notice when the Early Show host said something about everyone burying the hatchet in regards to fighting with the Weavers? One of the Weaver brats nodded her head to say "no". What a poor sport.

Did the Weavers talk at all?

I also thought it was weird when they all had to go outside to pay the cabbies when they knew they would be awhile.

I thought that the others should continue to look while one went out to get the stuff and pay. They had carts to do it alone.

I guess the rules are that they have to do things together.

That was my thought too, I remember hearing one of the Branson girls yelling at the father because they had to wait for him before they could move on while looking for the departure time, so I assumed they had to move on together.

I caught a little bit on the radio on my way in to work (yeah, I'm a dork and listen to the news in the morning) anyway.... When Harry asked them about how they seemed to not be having fun and being isolated, the Mom said they had a great time and one of the girls responded that it wasn't their intention to isolate themselves but that they had come in as a team and were not planning to make any alliances, just depend on themselves.

They didn't say much more that I remember but I TiVo'd it and will watch when I get home tonight.

Thanks for the response!

Yeah - I TiVo'd the Early Show so will watch it later too. They don't usually spend too much time interviewing the 3rd place team, so no surprise if they didn't spend much time with the Weavers. (Don't want to steal any thunder from the Linz's!)

I am so happy that the Linz"s won! What a great family they are a part of - their parents must be very proud! Their behavior was immature at times, but guys in their 20's act like that!

And yeah - Wally and his girls did OK, with their gas for life and a new car. It looks like they had a great bonding experience.

I am so pumped the Linzs won!!! They were our faves from the begining. I liked the Bransens a lot too (Wally cracked me up!!!) As long as the Weavers didn't win I was fine with it. ;) I can't wait to watch my tape of the Early Show! :cool1:

I am so glad the Linz's won! They are giving half the money to their parents and split the rest between 7 siblings. I get to see them on our local news Friday.
Kim

I'm pretty impressed how they are Linz's are splitting their money.

I've been one of the few people supporting the Weaver's. I really wanted the Black Family or the family with the little girl to win. Glad the season is over-the playing field was horrible. The families with children didn't have a chance against the Linz boys and their sister. Rollie was about their only competition in the end.

I wish they could of kept the playing field to parents and their kids under the age of 16. It broke my heart looking at the kids faces in the end.

i was so glad the linz family won!!! i liked them from the beginning ( and the family with the little kids) ....i figured out last night that i like d them so much because that is the way my brother and i , and his 2 best friends ( who are like my brothers) act!
it was funny

The rules just seem to vary from episode to episode. Remember the big chair in AL. Not everyone had to climb up in the chair to get the clue. One person did it and brought it back to the others.

The rules for each task do change from task to task. Some require one person, some require two, and others require all four. The contestants find out when they get their clue what the next task entails and how many people are to be included.

I was thrilled the Linz family won. I would have been just as happy if it had been Wally and the girls, too! I just didn't want it to be the Weavers. I usually feel bad for the last team--I'm always rooting for the underdogs. Not last night. I was thrilled they came in last!

I only saw a couple episodes of this season when I was off of school, but I was glad the Linz family one. Those guys cracked me up!! The Weavers were just really annoying (except for Rolly).

That's about all they said on the Early Show.

I hope the Waevers at least tipped Ted, the cabbie, well. He did keep them in the early part of the race last night.

Did anyone notice at the end of the show there was a commercial that on the cbs.com site you can watch a competition between the 2nd and 3rd place teams for a GMC Yukon. Watched it this morning and it was pretty interesting, kind of wish they would of just shown it last night at the end of the show but it was still interesting to watch.

I taped the finale for my kids (as I do every week 'cause it's past their bedtime) and they actually woke up early this morning so they could watch. They were so excited to see that TAR was in our city (Toronto). Phil said something along the lines of "pick a task that is unique to this city." Then when Phil explained the sailboat task, my kids said "I thought they had sailboat in other cities too" :rotfl:

Anyway, just from reading these boards, it seems that this season wasn't really popular with many people. I enjoyed it because my kids watched also and I don't know if I will let them watch the "regular" TAR. Too much verbal abuse.

Anyone else surprised that they did a jigsaw puzzle as the final task? I mean they're playing for a million bucks. It should have been something more challenging.

I hope that the Weavers watched all the show and noticed how many time they put there faith in the hands of the lord , or prayed to win or said that they know God wants them to win ! It does not seem to work that way !

I missed last night episode, shot in my home town of Montréal ! When they are in the tunnel , looking for the first clue , they are right next to where I work ! I hope my city looked nice on the show !

Iwas very happy the Linzes won. Wouldn't mind if the Bransons won either.
Both teams were very good.
I id get a kick out of the Weaver mom bragginng about them being in first place until they get to the arena.
They probably didn't even do the puzzle! :rotfl2:

I bet one team found it challenging. :rotfl: But, seriously, not a lot on this race has been very challenging. Also, the final leg isn't usually very challenging in terms of tasks. They usually are just running around the final city looking for clues to different places, without having any major tasks.

Actually, I heard them pray several times that "if it be Thy will." Don't leave that important piece of the prayer out. It changes the meaning of what they are asking for.

That could be why poor Rolly was getting so frustrated with his mom and sisters when they gave up, and he wanted to keep looking. I was wondering why he did just go and look himself.

I liked one of the Bransen girls coment on how "smoking" her butt was going to be after doing all those stairs. :rotfl2:

Anyone esle disappointed they did not show the Weaver's finding out the teams had crossed the finish line? In past season's, when it has happened, a team that still has a task to complete, yet the race is over, they show them getting to the clue box, and the clue tells them the winning team has crossed the finish line. I SOOOO wanted to see that. That mom is such a poor sport. She actually said it was "unfair" when the other teams showed up at he stadium. HELLO? They had a huge lead on the two teams, it took them forever to find the door. Although, the stadium would of been a catch-up point anyway. I just hated her attitude. "Well, they KNOW we were first"
