Amazing Race, Family Edition. *Official DiscussionThread*

I only started watching last season (because of Rob and Amber) so I don't have much to compare to, but I like this so far.

I don't care for the four person teams. It's just too many people. I agree with the poster that said it's boring so far (compared to last season). I hope things pick up because I'm missing L&O for this!

The family I picked for the fantasy game is letting me down. No free gas for me. :(

Is anyone else finding this race boring so far? DH and I had to turn it off an hour into it...it's unwatchably bad IMHO. I have been a HUGE fan of the Amazing Race for a long time. This format is not working for me, though.
Try it again next week. I think the first show of the season is always too fast and sketchy. Granted it's not as exciting as some of the other seasons, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's unwatchably bad.

I'm actually finding it easier to keep track of the teams. 1-There's one family name to remember. 2-They're so different. Usually there are 5 young dating/engaged/model couples and I can't keep them apart.

How many teams have there been in the past? I believe there are ten this season, but I seemed to remember more on previous seasons.
Usually there are 11 or 12.

I cannot believe the sisters came in first !!!! How'd they manage that. I like them, but they were just driving around aimlessly yesterday. :rotfl:

I am watching this for the first time....never watched the pervious ones....the only family I don't like so far is the family that keeps praying...its very annoying, like their god has nothing better to do then guide them to lancaster!!

I think that those "pink" sisters might be the most annoying sisters I've never met. They are so loud all the time. That family from Jersey is so rude to each other. I'd smack my kids if they yelled at me like that.

I like the family with the widower and three children and the black family.

I read on another board that the one family from New Orleans lost everything :( but that the other family from Louisiana took them in. I can't confirm this, just what I read.

There was another team like that a few seaons ago. They used to edit in all sorts of church music when they would start praying. It became comical. lol.

I didn't realize there were two LA families. The one I can think of had the "I am the head of the household" dad. Who is the other team?

I agree with all of this! If I talked that way to my mom my dad would smack me.

The family that was having trouble with the water wheel I think. They are the Schroeders from New Orleans. The Rogers aka "Head of Household" family are from Shreveport.

I can't believe the Jersey family is ahead of the Black family!!? What's up with that....with all that yelling at each other I figured that would of slowed them way down building that house!

Maybe they'll get lost!!........can you all say hope~!
