I can't wait. I love Amazing Race.
I didn't realize tonight was 2 hours! Oh man, I hate that because then it means I will have to tape Law and Order SVU.

Looking forward to see how this AR plays out.

The Black family lives in the next town over from me. It is exciting to see folks in the game that live right near you.

I agree. The Gaghan family lives a few towns over from me. I'll be rooting them on!

According to other Amazing Race boards I suscribe to there were numerous production problems with this edition that they even stopped production for a short period of time. The race is only 11,000 miles and only stays in North America. Place that teams had been sighted during the summer NYC, Orlando, Houston, Washington Crossing, PA, and Niagara Falls. Not in any order and only time will tell if factual.

Also apparently the online betting has again revealed the possible winner. I am trying to stay away from reading it. However, the online betting was correct last year with the U&J winner.

Thanks for starting the thread. AR is my favorite reality tv show and I'm really looking forward to the family edition. Can we keep this thread a no-spoiler one? I read the spoilers last year and I want to keep away from them this year.

Hmmm, I love Amazing Race, but I'm not sure I'm going to like this edition.

First, I think teams of 4 are just to big. I'll never remember (or care) who is who on what team. Second, I don't want to watch kids have meltdowns on national television. Third, if they really do only stay in North America I will be very disappointed. One of the best things about this show was that you saw other countries and cultures and how the teams reacted to them. I don't care to see them in Orlando, etc.

I guess only time will tell. I've stayed away from any spoiler sites cause I got spoiled by accident last year.

I also heard that they are not going to any exotic "third world" countries. Sounds boring. The only reason I watched it before was seeing the people get through exotic lands. Some of the frustrations of making it through Egypt, India and Africa were great. If they stay in North America it will be boring.

They must be trying to save money in production costs.

If they are staying in United States they maybe trying to take care of the children. They might be concerned about comments they make innocently starting a problem.

So far I love the shot of the girl falling asleep in the car. Definately will be different, but I will probably still like it.

My boys and DH happened upon the Washington Crossing leg this summer, which was very exciting since we did apply.....the actually taping isn't as continous as one might think.....entering and exiting the task the teams had to retape a few times.

Can't wait to see the show...
