Amazing Race, Family Edition. *Official DiscussionThread*

I am glad my hometown team is still in, but I did like the Black family. :guilty:

Did the boy just say, "What are silos?"

Edited: OOPS I am slow...LOL! I am a few minutes behind from my DVR...rewound at one point, hehe.

I feel bad for the little boys, they are so cute and trying so hard not to cry!

The mom wasn't sure what a silo was either. They were such a great family. I loved their tie-dyed shirts.

Too bad we can't all vote a family out and vote to keep a family in. Those children were wonderful about coming in last place though. I hope that ugly family will be the same.

Poor little guy looked so mad.
They were so adorable. Such a good looking family.

What a bummer!! I didn't think they did an elimination on the 1st episode....oh well....hope the Jersey family finds themselves out next!

Aw ! Those little boys getting teary eyed just broke my heart. I don't know how much longer they would have lasted, though, as much as I liked them. For that boy to slip into a puddle and yell that he needed help...I don't know how he would have held up.

I have watched all the previous seasons and I also found this boring. Maybe because it was all filmed in locations near me. I have been to all those places and live only 20 minutes from Lancaster. I think part of the fun of the race is all the teams trying to get the best airflights to the destination. Being on the wrong flight can lose you the race that and the taxi drivers. Looks like next week we are at a civil war site. Wonder if we stay in PA to go to Gettysburg or move south to VA?

Hmmmm... I wonder if they plan on putting other old team members throughout the show.. sort of llke TAR Hidden team members!! LOL!! I can't believe Only one team recognized the guys!! And they are from NY.. so.. perhaps whenever they are in a state that a previous team member was from they might just show up.. have to keep my eyes peeled! :)

Local CBS just had a story on teh weaver family--widow, 2 daughters and a son. Her hubby was killed at Daytona last year. They actually showed the accident..I thought he was IN a car...looked it up on the internet, he was HIT by a car. Can't believe they showed it, but glad I didn't see it. :(

A lawsuit is in progress....but whether or not they broke OSHA rules is the case. Very sad story.

Aw, that's the part about it that I thought was fun. My fiance and I just moved from Bel Air, MD, and he grew up in Stewartstown, PA, so we are very familiar with the areas in which they were travelling. I thought it was cool to hear them say they had to drive on 95 south or that they were going to Lancaster. It made it seem so much more real.

Ya know, the widow was the one run over by the buggy. During the commercial(before we knew she was ok), DH was saying OMG, Dad run over by a car, Mom run over by a buggy! How awful! Thankfully mom was fine but talk about weird coincidences.

Didn't they describe what happened in the intros? They said he had to go out to pick up some debris, and he was hit by a car, right? What is the Osha controversy?
