Amazing Race All Star starts 2/23/14 Offical Thread no spoilers

I think it was very stupid! I mean, Dave complained every leg about being a 60 year old man.....if you can't keep up, quit complaining! Geez. And those girls got lucky with non-elim legs twice....they should've been gone. I am a Brenchel fan, but would've rather seen the final 3 be (in A-B-C ORDER) 1. Afghanimals 2. Brenchels 3. Cowboys

I didn't think I would be happy, but I was.

It seemed that the folks at the finish line were quite happy with the outcome. While we may have seen them be a complainy-pants, I think it says something when the losing teams are ecstatic to see you come first at the finish line.

I'm bummed for no memory challenge.

But I'm not going to lie that I was cheerful for the various troubles that Brenchal had. The attempt at stealing a cab sealed the deal for me. Bummer they got a crappy driving, but that was just low. They deserved every last bit of third place they got.

Big dud of a finale...challenges were not all that interesting (no thinking challenge). But was happy with who won. I was watching the ending through my hands, though, as I was just waiting for the ultimate breakdown from Rachel...thank goodness that didn't happen...or, at least, they didn't show it.

Tbh I would have tried to steal the cab too if I was racing, why would anyone want to stay with a dud cabbie?

Didn't someone say a couple of weeks ago something like "One team takes a big risk and it pays off." about the finale? There were no big risks. No team made any big choices. What a boring finale. I wanted to smack the slow cabbie. I wonder if she slowed down even more when she realized that they tried to dump her. I don't really blame Team Brenchel for trying to steal the other cab since their driver was so awful but kudos to the Country Girl's cabbie for sticking with them.

As some of you know, we have people over for the race and we cook food that is local to the region of the pit stop. Tonight we had shrimp cocktail with homemade cocktail sauce :thumbsup2.

Best line from my DD: "I hope that Brenchals don't have a baby. It would turn out doubly annoying."

I'm OK with Dave and Conner winning. I was happy as long as it wasn't the Coattail Girls.

I also, didn't like the last leg. As a "regular" leg, it would have been OK, not as a final. Hated the winner. :crazy2:

I thought it was just okay. It seemed like the two teams were neck and neck, but then when he jumped and they were all waiting, it seemed like the girls were very far behind. Unless they held the girls back until he finished jumping.

I also remember, as a pp said, that Phil was interviewed and talked about how exciting the finale was and how a team takes a chance and wins. Not sure what chance they took? Maybe having the dad do the sky diving?

Not a fan of the finale - there was no skill involved. No memory challenge. Just whose cabbie can get them there the quickest.

I agree.

I had been hoping Rachel and Brendan would win, until they tried to steal the country girls' taxi. :(

Didn't want Dave and Connor to win, and didn't think the country girls should even be in the final much less win.

I will be glad not to have to hear "the season when I tore my achilles' tendon" anymore though. ;)

During that interview, Phil said production took a chance and changed up the finale.

I was one who defended the Brenchels but Brendon trying to steal the cab and when that didn't work pay him off to take off....just my opinion he went to far. They were ahead of the girls at the time. He spent so much time trying to convince the cabbie to leave, if he just would have left they may have come in second. Out of the three, I am glad it was Dave & Connor. Although, I would have enjoyed the ABC outcome as well.

I am glad we don't have to hear "this is so we can have a baby" anymore. Hopefully this will be the last time we see Brenchel on TV. Their 15 minutes have been over for a long time.

::yes:: It started with the digging. I know that they were stressed and focused but... :(

While I was sick of the 'old man' and achilles rupture'. I was also getting tired of the baby line, too. Waiting until Brendan is finished with his PhD won't hurt them. I wonder what Rachel will do in the meantime. ;) Masterchef? :rotfl:

I liked the challenges and the road blocks but not for the final. That was the lamest final ever.

Hell's Kitchen would be fun to watch. :lmao:

Those challenges should of been done at the first leg of the race. They always start in the United States, but always end up leaving on a plane.

Really boring finale. No memory puzzle, really boring challenges, it was the lamest finale they've had so far. It's too bad because up until the last few weeks I was really enjoying the season. Hopefully they'll have brand new people next year and stop bringing back previous players.

Worst AR finale EVER. What, they spent to much $$ on the magician and the helicopter, so couldn't afford a simple memory challenge?!?

I'm sure it was expensive, but K.I.S.S. in the future, please, AR producers!

Terri

PS When they were "spirited off", DH said, "Are they taking them to the tunnels under the city where the homeless live to find the next clue box?" Shows you what he remembers from our last trip to Vegas!

I disagree with many of you about the memory puzzles; it was time for something different, they are boring to watch.

I also think finding that sign from the helicopter would be difficult with all the other signs around.
