Like I said i have no problem with there life choice. thats there preference but i dont like it thrown in my face. I actually thought they were a couple the way they behaved.

A - It's not a lifestyle choice, it's WHO they are.

B - You actually think that they should pretend to be someone they aren't? Would you also like Charla to pretend she's tall?


I'm going to get out of this conversation now because I think I am responding too emotionally given that we are talking about people on tv. But, it really bothers me when people make hurtful statements like "I have no problem with it, but they really should hide it." Obviously, if you want someone to hide who they are then you are not okay with it.

Sorry but comparing your a to b is like apples to donuts...Charla was born with her problem. Danny and Oswald made a choice. I no everyone has there opinion on that subject but it being a choice is mine. No keep in mind i would feel the same way if E&D were all over each other all the time. So its not about that at all.

I also did not mean to offend you just stating my opinion.

I started writing this post to add fuel to the fire. I feel that Gay Rights are Human and Civil Rights. I frankly don't care who loves who.

Then, I began to think back on one of my most hated teams: The Weavers. I detested the Weavers and the main reason was their "in your face" Christianity. As a non-Christian all the calls to Jesus and constant praying grated on my nerves. So, in a way, I understand where you are coming from.

That being said, I do think that many of the male/female partners have shown the same affection during the race and even made the same kind of racy jokes: Erik and Danielle as noted for jokes and Rob and Amber for a love so great you can feel it right through the TV.

When I looked at Danny and Oswald I simply saw two people in love (who yes, made some racy jokes too). When you looked at the Weavers you might have only seen a devout mom. The way that we judge others starts with our own bias.

D&O aren't a couple, although they are more affectionate than a lot of the teams that have come through (remember how Chip and Reichen didn't even reveal they were a couple until halfway through the race?). I loved their comments at the end about being with each other in the gay nursing home. They are so incredibly lucky to have found each other and become such great friends.

I must admit, Dustin and Kandace have won me over this season.

My favorite D/K moment: the eating challenge; Dustin begins vomiting into a bucket; Eric (in a great announcer's voice): "Ladies and Gentlemen, Miss California!".

When Dustin laughed, that truly won me over. No "phony" beauty queen could laugh in such a situation.

I am presently watching AR 2, which had Danny and Oswald. A great team in every respect. I am sorry to see them go.

Same here. I think they came across as shallow and mean in their original season. The constant use of the word "sistahs" didn't help any. I'm thinking a lot of that might have been editing to make them the villains for their season, because they have come across as totally different this time out.

I'd be happy to see either them or C&M win (based on racers opinions of C&M, not DISers ).

Not quite sure what you are getting at but a beautiful person or body is not my complaint. Its the overboard public affection that bothers me. I really have no issue with a man or woman showing off there body. A body is a beautiful thing. I have no issue with a person being gay or straight none whatsoever. I have gay family members. It doesnt bother me. its the overboard public affection and the jokes that threw it in my face that I didnt like. Now I havent really noticed it with anyone else and maybe D&O were only joking but they were still poking fun and I didnt care for it. there is a time and place for everything. If they want to hug and congratulate each other after a leg or a job well done....great no issue there.....but I cant make a comment without everyone else getting so sensitive about it. and thats the shame of it. I read alot of derogatory comments about tother racers, but I make onr and I get attacked and to be honest I wasnt be negative....anyway

I will drop this cause I enjoy reading this thread and dont want it closed

I have a question that might have been answered already on this thread, but I didn't see it -- Why didn't all the teams show up at the Elimination Station? Seems like Uchenna and Joyce didn't, nor the Guido's. Any ideas?

I can't watch the elimination station videos because I'm outside the US (although I caught the first 4 before they were pulled off of youtube) so I'm trusting your viewings here, but....

I read somewhere that TAR sometimes has teams stay with production and sometimes sends them on decoy runs. Both of these tactics are used to throw off the internet spoiler alerts. If they send a different final 3 on a decoy finale then people might spread rumours that are wrong. If teams stay with production then it's harder for locals to identify which teams are racing.

Ah! That does make sense. I would imagine it makes sense that they would be contractually bound for the duration of the race because, after all, they all start it hoping that they will win, so they can't have planned anything else for the time period. And it is a popular show, so it would be smart not to let on where the final three will be racing to. Thanks for your thoughts! Now that you said it, it's all obvious to me! LOL!

I watched all the Elimination station episodes and when the Guidos were eliminated the called the house and said they weren't traveling to where the others were because their current location was close to the finish line. So they just stayed there and waited for the others to arrive.
