When you go up next month are you going to try and eat at Bluezoo and Il Mulino?

I was thinking of going to Il Mulino the first night we are there...but I think Blue Zoo is out because of the number of people we have.

DF likes the idea of doing dinner at Jiko...but I also read somewhere that Raglan Road has a semi-private room and a rather inexpensive banquet menu. I think both could be fun!

I've eaten a regular meal at Raglan Road and it was a ton of fun... The music was great. It was fun to watch the Irish Dancer. I'm not sure where the private area is in the restaurant, but I'm sure you'll still be able to hear the music...it's pretty loud in the main dining room, which means it'll will probably be just right, if you're a little hidden.

We thought about doing the private room at Jiko - I think it's the Wine Room - because we really really loved our meal there....but it was going to be pretty pricey. Half the room, which would seat 20 guests was going to be minimum $2000. That would have been doable...but we're going to have 21-25 people, so that's out. The whole room, which would seat 40, has a $4000 minimum... just seemed we could go somewhere equally nice for quite a bit less. I mean, we can rent a room at California Grill for at least a grand less.

I have been to both Raglan Road and Jiko but DF hasn't. We are going to both on our trip (in 15 days!!!!!)

If we do Jiko it definitley won't be a private room, but just dinner. The prices are just ridiculous!!! For 17 of us I really didn't want to spend $2000. Maybe if we had more. That's kinda why I liked Raglan Road...thought it would be fun and not to far from EPCOT for our DP.

Oh and some good non-wedding related news...Just found out we are getting bonuses this year (it's official!!). I will get my bonus on June 12th!!! I am so excited!

So as Eric and I have been talking about the wedding we are thinking about a few things:

1) Changing the wedding date to the 11th. We might take a 7-night cruise which would leave on Saturday. Eric only gets 8 days off of work so this would let us go down Monday night before the wedding and stay until the Saturday the Cruise gets back. PLUS our first date was on the 11th...so it's cute:lovestruc

2) Thinking about taking the money we would spend on the room and/or cruise and put it down on DVC:cool1: We are looking at buying resale but we are both super excited about it.

We have made reservations at Il Mulino for the night we get to Disney to try it out. Here's our Itinerary for our trip:

Saturday- Arrive early. We are going to ESPN club for Eric's bday to watch a Yankees game, then off to DHS with dinner at Il Mulino

Sunday-Animal Kingdom with dinner at Kona Cafe (maybe Wishes)

Monday-Blizzard Beach, dinner at WGPC cafe and mini golf

Tuesday-Magic Kingdom. Lauren arrives this day and we are eating/drinking around EPCOT that night

Wednesday-Lauren and I have breakfast with the princesses!!!! We need to make t-shirts!!! Tonight is Disney Quest and dinner at Raglan Road

Thursday- Today is our 1st anniversary. We are doing Typhoon Lagoon during the day and having dinner at Jiko. We are also staying in a AKV that night!!

Friday- Breafast at Boma and more Animal Kingdom Dinner at Le Cellier!

Saturday- EPCOT with dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe (for the boys) and maybe a movie at Fort Wilderness

Sunday-DHS, dinner at Coral Reef

Monday- Not sure except dinner at Ohana.

Tuesday- We leave!!

We are going to make lots of time to relax by the pool. I also want to show Eric SBP and a couple other things while we are there. We are visiting the 3 places currently in the running for our Wedding dinner...but who knows what we will find while we are there!

13 days and counting. I leave on Wednesday this week for a work trip to NYC. The nice thing is my mom is also scheduled for the same work trip!! We have classes at Cornell Thur and Fri and are just hanging out in the city on Saturday.

Oh I didn't think about it...can I just go there??

Yup. That is what my mom and I did. It was worth it. Check out my PJ...There are photos in there from the trip. Mom wanted to put her fingers in the cake! :lmao: (Thankfully she didn't) They have books, fresh flower bouquets, a showcase of chocolate place cards, and cake mock ups. The woman at the front desk was a bit of a wet noodle...We just went in and did it all ourselves. No one bothered us.

We went to the WP too. Needless to say, this was the trip that sold my mother on DFTW!!!

I am getting way too excited about our trip!!!!!! We are going to have so much fun it is going to be ridiculous:cool1: We definitely want plenty of time to lie by the pool, drink pina coladas and just relax. I love that we both are eating at the same restaurants the nights we aren't together...we are too much alike lol. I think we should go by Francks just to see it...it sounds very fun:-) Oooooooooo can't wait!!!! I hope we see each other before then though...:confused3

Here, Amanda, I don't have much to contribute to this thread since... well, since I have nothing to contribute but I'll submit a picture for you to think about as you happily count down to your Disney vacation/wedding planning trip.

Your view as you walk over to Franck's:

I apologize, had I known that you'd soon be visiting Franck's; I would have taken a picture of that also. But it's just to the right of this view.

And I know that you'll be heading over here to take a little "stroll"...
