Am I weird?

I feel weird when my boss thanks me and tells me I'm doing a great job. It feels weird. I know it's because too many other's don't do enough. But I feel wierd saying you're welcome.

Just say that you appreciate him/her acknowledging your work.

My boss in FL said thank you for the longest time, including every night before I left. It was WONDERFUL and made me appreciate her more. In the last year or so I worked for her, she rarely if ever said it. I can tell you that stress at work and her lack of appreciation were big contributors to my leaving that job. I have three bosses at this job. For the most part they say thank you when I do something.
