Am I the only one who LOVES Liberty Tree Tavern?

Thanks DonaldTDuck, with no kids I'm trying to take my wife to the places that we would normally not do. I really enjoy all of our "family traditions" when it comes to the places we eat at but this trip will be doing everything we have never done before. Maybe LLT will have to put on our "must do" list when we have the whole clan down.
Thanks again!

I like the food at LTT, but have never ever had decent service there, sadly. Very slow.

My family loves LTT - it is our first night dinner everytime we visit WDW and will be again when we visit in June and hopefully in August. We loved it when it was a character meal and still enjoy it as a nice way to sit down and relax and eat on our first night

We love Boatwrights too. I never hear anyone mention it. I think it's a well kept secret!

We prefer it for lunch. Without the characters dinner is way overpriced for the limited menu.

The last time we were there was 2008, I like the LTT and will probably eat there again next time we go. When did they take the characters away? We will miss them but will still go.

Sadly, the TS offerings at the MK are so limited (can't WAIT for the new Fantasyland expansion restaurant!!!!!!). We feel that the food at LTT is far superior to Tony's or CRT. The Plaza has nice solid food also, with great burgers, salads and sandwiches. For a hearty meal (yes, meat and potato lovers unite ;) ) LTT is the way to go at the MK.

I wasn't aware that it was a great place for lunch too! We definitely have to check that out.

For those who hesitate when they see the phrase "family style," don't fear. From what I have seen in the past, some family style restaurants make you sit with other families and share the food. That's not the case at LTT, and it is a major reason I love it. I love that the waiter keeps coming back asking if you want more and then comes out with a big bowl of whatever you ask for. The icecream and pie was insane, and they kept bringing more back.

I've had dinner there twice, and each time the waiter was one of my favorites at Disney. Actually, the first guy (I can't remember his name....about 50 years old, male, super friendly, tall, relatively thin...anyone know him???), was by far my family's favorite waiter of all time. We actually tried to go back several times to poke our head in to see if he was there so we could request him, but he wasn't.

My family loved LTT. We had lunch there on the DxDP. Because of that I wasn't paying attention to the prices of the meals. I do think though that even if we were paying out of pocket we would make a point to go back. The food was delicious, and tasted home cooked. My kids ate a ton of veggies (mashed potatoes, green beans, etc.) that weren't french fries :) One of the best meals we had!

Hmmm.....when we went in June 2008, we had a waiter named Rory who fit that description and he was by far one of the best servers we have ever had anywhere!

We love Liberty Tree Tavern. Eat there almost every time we go to WDW, get the rootbeer to drink. A small story to tell, we were visiting WDW during the Christmas Holiday and made reservations towards closing time, but we also had the passes for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade, so the park cleared out while we were eating and it rained on top of that. We were done eating and no one was around outside the restaurant and a fog rolled in, and it reminded me of an old dock next to the ocean, but we were in WDW walking to Splash Mountain and rode it 10 times in a row before one other family got in line. The rest of the night was like this, I think the rain scared everyone away, however my family and I will never let rain interfere with a trip to WDW.

The only sad thing is that I had heard that they are taking away either all the characters or just some of them.

It's our favorite place at MK. We eat there once every trip for dinner. After reading the comments maybe we should try it for lunch!

My family is a real "meat and potatoes" type family. For us, it doesn't get any better than the Liberty Tree Tavern....perhaps with the exception being the Biergarten. Those two places are the highlight of our Disney dining experience. Our third favorite place is yet another place that doesn't register on most people's favorites list: Boatwrights at Port Orleans Riverside. I had the best steak ever there a few years ago and have been unable to make it back since.

I LOVE LTT the salad is amazing. The strawberry dressing is sooo good!!!
