Am I the only one who is annoyed by announcements in Spanish?

For me, cultural diversity is one of the best things about this country, and while on the topic, one of the coolest things about WDW. This has gone from a WDW related topic to one that reminds me of the worst, bigoted propaganda I hear on talk radio. This is not the place for that. Some people come here to cause trouble. They are called trolls. Best to leave them alone, as they will eventually go away. I'm going to take my own advice, and leave this thread alone.

You're a bit hypocritical considering you chose to contribute to this thread to call me a skinhead KKK member. Apparently, bigotry is acceptable to you as long as the person being attacked is a white male.

I apologize. I am losing track of my attackers. I also apologize to polite people who read this thread and chose not to contribute. I live in California and am tired of illegal aliens being catered to, so I needed to vent. Hearing Spanish announcements in America just sets me off.

I think patriotism is more important than money. I am proud of Disney because it is a gigantic piece of Americana. As I mentioned already, this is my only peeve about Disney.

Putting money above patriotism is the reason we have lead in our childrens' toys.

Interesting side note. During the 1930's, the largest membership in the KKK was from New Jersey. That really surprised me when I learned that.

Yes, that is what surprised me the most. I learned this in a state history class (I'm originally from NJ) in high school. For some reason, loose facts like this just stay with me.

I have seven words for that: "Por favor mantenganse alejado de las puertas". A trip to WDW is usually one where folks can expect alot of cultural diversity, and I think thats a beautiful thing.

I bought the T-shirt. I agree, a company has every right to do business in any language/s that they choose. You have a right to buy their product or not. You can also complain to them if you don't like their business decisions.

When it comes to government documents though, I do believe that English should be the official language and that if someone doesn't read or understand English, then they should be responsible for finding an interpreter.
