We are on the QSDP but really want to to get in Scifi jsut 1 time. I made a 12:45 ressie for 6/7. we plan on eating our lunch off the dining plan so we are going and just getting dessert. Am I bad for making a ressie and just getting dessert? Just needed opinions to make sure I won't feel guilty.

I think it is a great idea. You need ressies regardless or run the risk of not getting in. People go for appy's and dessert all of the time. Plus, you won't take up as much time so it balances itself out. :thumbsup2

DH wants a really good milkshake so I figured this would be the perfect place. The ones we got in AK last year just reminded us of the frosty you get at Wendy's. Guess I'll keep my ressie and have the hot fudge sundae:woohoo:

I think that should be fine as long as you dont forget to tip. Especially if you have a reservation you have the right to get whatever you want just like anyone else with reservations. We too are going to do this but thinking about milkshakes.

We already plan on overtipping just for this purpose. We are going to get 2 milkshakes for DH and older DD and 1 sundae for me and younger DD to share. I figure $18 with tax so we were going to leave $25 to $30 with the check. Do ya'll think that sounds like a good tip for dessert?

I know 18% is what the usual is and that it would come to $3.14. I would definitely give say $5 + or over, maybe more if you have a really great waiter. Lets see what someone else says with more experience on this as i would also like to know.

You know, that didn't even dawn on me to just go for dessert! BUT, I think it's a fantastic idea. I've heard the food isn't all that great so that's why I was planning on skipping it. Now, I think I might book for just dessert/milkshakes just so DD who'll be almost 4 can enjoy the atmosphere :).
