Am I the only one who didn't get an email (RU23) ??

Kinda expecting the email to come 23 days later. And display the countdown with negative numbers in the email.

So why did they have us register our email addresses at all??

I can now certainly say I was NOT "among the first to know" because I still haven't received anything from them.

And maybe my computer is acting up but I still haven't been able to get the RU23 countdown site to load.

Update: It was my computer and popups being blocked.....still no email though

It does seem a little stupid that they had everyone enter their email addresses yet didn't send any emails out. Sometimes it seems like they don't think things through all the way.

I just got an e-mail from Disney Shopping "introducing D23". Its 3:32pm. And I knew everything that is in the advert 8½ hours ago.

4:00 pm and no email about RU23........but I did get an Disney invite to see The Lion King in Vegas.

When Disney builds me up with "be the first" bla bla bla......and then doesn't deliver......it is even more disappointing.

I build up Disney wherever I am and most people really know about my Obsessive Compulsive Disney Disorder.

I want them to follow through with the promises they make......I want them to make me feel special after the 10s of thousands of dollars I have spent going there through the years.

How hard would it have been to actually send an email to those who registered??? To make us feel special because we were a little more Disney dedicated??

I also signed up to 'be the first to know', and haven't yet got an email. Disney are trying to convince us that they are 'doing something for the fans' but couldn't even bother to send out an email to us.

I was all ready with my credit card in hand to join up to whatever it was going to be as long as it looked vaguely reasonable - but after reading about it, I put my credit card away. I might be interested in the magazine - but only if I could buy a single copy first to see whether it's worth it (I can't - I live in the UK and they won't ship here - they obviously don't care too much about us foreigners). As for the club itself - paying over and above the price of the magazines, for a membership card (whoo hoo!) and the chance to buy other stuff? No thanks. Seems to me like a cynical attempt to wring a bit more cash out of a group of people that Disney obviously think will buy anything with their name on.

But I did go out to Barnes and Noble at my lunch break 4 hrs ago and picked up the magazine. It's very nice.

I know it is such a small thing but I am truly let down.

Like some of you said, I would really have given the "first to know" answer to 'RU 23', serious consideration IF Disney had emailed me as a "first to know."

Right now, I feel oddly used simply to provide banter, speculation and promotion.

I signed up originally for it right after it first went viral. I got the email to that email address a few hours ago.

The email address I used to sign up last week, I havent gotten it yet.

So............I did finally get the email at 2:30 am this morning. BUT it is just the regular "Disney Insider" email.

I guess that was just another way to get people registered for the Disney Insider.

Is that the email you all got too?

I just wish I would have understood the initial question from the marketing department......

Are you 23??? Huh???

And then the answer was D23??? Huh???

I soooooooooooo wish I would have been a part of those meetings.
