Am I the only one that enjoys the crowds?

I can take the heat OR I can take the crowds, but both of those together does not make for a fun trip.
Your comment of waiting in line reminded me of a time when I was at DL with my uncle and some others. My uncle was in a wheelchair so he and our whole group were able to get on the rides without waiting in line, we just walked up through the exits and were able to get right on. I was so excited about not having to wait in those horrible lines, I was sure it was going to be great. But it actually wasn't. It was like something was missing. The build up of anticipation while your in line maybe? Who ever thought NOT having to wait in line would be a bad thing. Go figure. :confused3

I did not realize there was any time that was not crowded due to when we went when I was young. We just thought Disney was crowded and that was it. On our 1986 winter trip, my sister and I waited in line for 2 1/2 HOURS to ride journey into imagination for the first time (waiting in the rain--in winter jackets)-the line was backed beyond the land pavilion, and we did not think anything of it, we just waited. We did not know about low season, crowd issues, etc. I won't tell you what we thought of imagination in this thread....

Now though, I am happy that I know about the different seasons, crowd levels, etc. It makes for a happier vacation if you and your party knows what to expect!

It's all good if you are at Disney!

I like a happy medium. I'd never go in the summer. Part of the point of going to FL is to escape the cold weather...unless I had a really great offer...

There is something great about being at WDW when the lines are short, but there is also something disturbing about seeing all the empty queues. We went in early 2002, when everyone was still spooked about September 11, and there was somethign very sad about seeing the place so empty...It takes a lot of money to keep all the Disney perks going - fireworks, CM's, new rides, fresh paint, empty hotel rooms, ...without guests, how long would WDW be able to sustain itself? The thought occurred to us while we were there, and it was a very disturbing thought.
But when the parks are too crowded, MK in particular, it gets frustrating trying to get from one place to another.
