Am I nuts to be considering this?

Well, some of you may know that Universal is my happy place. My DS and I were there earlier this month and had to cut our trip short unexpectedly (long story). So, anyway, we have renewed our AP's and this morning I get this crazy idea for DH and I to return to attend Rock the Universe next month. We would fly down 9/10 early morning and return in the evening on 9/11. When I figured out all my expenses, including the pet sitter and airport parking, the trip will cost $800. This includes a night at the Royal Pacific (hopefully with a suite upgrade!).

We have the $$ in the bank, and it won't affect our ability to pay bills. DH is about the plan, but will not say no. What do my friends on the DIS say? Am I nuts, or should I go for it?

I tend to be frugal and an overnight trip for $800, even with ample money in the bank would not be something that I would do. A long weekend perhaps of 3 or 4 days I could see.

That's where I am in this. However, if you've got money to burn and that would make you happy then I guess you should go for it. Ok, but I'm honestly cringing to say that.

One other thing, by cutting our trip short earlier this month, I "saved" about $550 that I had budgeted for that trip.

Quite honestly, I travel like this for work all the time and it is really tiring. I can't imagine flying all that way for such a short period of time in the park. What about putting that $$ towards an extended weekend stay at another time?

Just my opinion but if you decide to go - have a wonderful time!
