Am I insane?

Okay, my mom, DD9 and I are going to DW next week. We'll be there only M-F, Monday we are doing the interactive theme park thing, tues we are doing MGM and maybe a little MK, Wednesday is MK and AK (maybe, we might skip AK), and Thursday is Epcot. I really want a relaxed, do whatever we feel like week, since we don't have much time. Epcot is our main priority this trip. Oh, and we are staying at the Boardwalk, if that makes a difference.

So I didn't make ressies. I really don't want to be stuck at a certain park at a certain time. DD doesn't want to do a character meal, and we are very flexible where we eat, so I figured we'd be okay. But we would like a sit-down meal every night if possible. Are we nuts? Is it going to be counter service every night because of the free meals thing? We couldn't even pay for the MYW meal plan, because mom is there with a conference, so we're paying for food ourselves...I guess if we get stuck doing cs for every meal at least we'll save money!

Any thoughts?

Check with Guest Services when you get to the parks each morning (or at guest services in your resort). They can tell you what is still availalbe for that day (or the following days). I wouldn't try to wait until you are hungry to find a place to eat. But with a minimum of planning, you shouldn't have trouble finding someplace to sit and eat as long as your are flexible.

You also might have better luck making your sit-down of each day lunch- you can make the ADR in the morning when you might have a better idea of where you'll be at lunchtime than in the evening, and usually there is better availability, and if you're paying for it out of pocket it's usually cheaper for similarly-sized entrees.
