Am I crazy??? March Trip

I have to go to a convention March 10-15 and will be staying at the Crown Plaza Universal. DH and I are thinking about going a few days early and stay DVC to just have some alone time and relax. Am I crazy to go March 6-10? Is it going to be crazy busy? Will I even find a room?

My college spring break runs March 21st to 30th, so you miss my dates. Since my dates correspond to Easter next year, we're skipping WDW, doing a cruise. Our break is always late in March, and we've never had very bad crowds. We also do VB at times...weather is usually fair, coolish.

I hope not, I'm there March 4-14, 10-14 is my sons March break. By going earlier we save $400 each on the cost of the flights.

Remember that Spring Breaks are staggered by most states or even counties.

Here in Brevard (east of Orlando) our DD's have the SECOND week of APRIL as Spring Break from public school.

Other local counties are one or two weeks different from ours.

It keeps the theme parks from being crowded by locals at popular vacation times.

Hi, I was wondering if you had tried to book your dvc room yet? I wanted to let you know that I booked my AKV savannah view studio for Mar 4-8, on November 13. I was really shocked that it was available, I was sort of embarrassed to ask at less than 4 months out, but I'm glad I did. I'm thinking that the onslaught of spring breaks starts the next week, so you probably have a good chance of getting a room.

I called this morning and wanted a concierge room and nothing was avail in a studio or one BR so I waitlisted. Booked a studio at WL but am thinking of switching to Boardwalk. Gee, I am really good at making decisions today!

hey you are at least staying at one place.

only staying 4 days - 2 at BWV standard studio, 2 at AKV value studio.

March is a nice time to go. Look around - things are blossuming then - that I didn't even know had flowers.

OKW is just lovely!
