Am I crazy ~ It's not gonna happen :(

*** Decided not to do it, my mom can't miss work next week (I shouldn't either really) + the kids missed 3 school days last month for our DLR trip. We're headed to WDW early Oct. I think we'll make our next trip to DLR next April (towards the end of the month) This trip would've been so fun, too bad it didn't work out. I was able to get a PS at BB for 11:30 on Mon. (I could've got it any of the 4 days we would've been there). Bummer ~ good thing I hadn't mentioned anything to the kids.

I just booked HoJo for next Mon (4/20) - Thurs (4/23)! $59 ent rate!

DS's B~day is on Mon.

The plan would be to drive (which we have never done) I'm hoping my mom joins us so we can take turns driving (I know I can do it by myself ~ I drove with the kids up to Seattle last Oct.)

Our AP's are good through Mon. (we started our trip last year on 4/20 we upgraded our PH's so they're good on the 20th this year right??) I'd purchase 3 day hoppers for us for Tues-Thurs and upgrade to AP's again!

If we actually do it we'd leave sometime Sun. evening ~ (we have a family party for DS Sun. afternoon) drive all night and get there pretty early. We'd stay through Thurs. afternoon and drive home Thurs night/Fri morning.

If we do this it will be the 1st time we've planned a trip in such a short time! We were there last early March!

What a totally fun thing to do! DS just turned 7 on Wed. and I kept trying to figure out how to plan/execute a trip for his b-day and just could never pull it together since rates were soooo high. Instead we are going in May and got killer airfare on JetBlue. ($39 each way!!)

The drive is not bad - you should be fine. But won't you be totally wiped out after driving at night?? I am not a good night driver AT ALL. Good luck with your trip and have a BLAST!!

That's part of why I hope my mom will come with us so we can take turns driving.

Driving at night is the way to go, I've done it many times. Much less traffic.

One tip though... if you're driving all night be sure you can get there before 7 AM... trust me, you don't want to be driving down 5 near LA at 9 in the morning. The morning commute is a bit a crazy and you'll end up just sitting in traffic.

LOL We have done this so many times....Of course we are closer but still...yes, we book last minute, we've even booked on the way to Anaheim. LOL Have fun!!!! Here's a question for you tho, since you have APs already will it be cheaper to renew then to upgrade hoppers? I ask because we were offered a small discount for renewing when ours expired in July 08. We didn't renew then tho. Oh another thought.....find out what Costco's are on your way, once you hit So Cal they will have the Deluxe APs with the $50 gift card! And yes, your APs will be good thru the 20th.

Oh my gosh! I am so jealous right now. Our APs expire May 25th and I wanted to squeeze one more quick trip in but dh says no. He's tired of the long drive (7 hours) and to fly would still cost us $400. I saw the Hojo ent. rate was available for next week too!

Aw, I"m just itchin' to get there in the next month! Have fun and go for it!
