Hi there
I just got back from the perfect trip (except for a couple of traveling partners/family that drove me crazy but thats another story) We have the Fla res seasonal passes which black out in June. I am already itching to go back middle of May for a couple of days (probably drive to save $) The last trip was soooo good and my DD 5yr old was soo spoiled for her B-day. Shoulod I wait until Fall and put some time between the memoies (so she won't expect all the specioal treatment) or just go ahead and go again? This time no annoying travel companions.

If you can afford it GO!! Your DD will only be little for a while when things are so magical. You can bet if I lived as close as you do I would be going every other month or so if I could pull it off :D

In my opinion, this is a rather difficult question to answer. Everyone has different ways of raising their children. Some don't like their children to get used to the luxury of Disney; others think their children's childhood should be filled with Disney memories. Being as close as you are, it is hard not to go more than once a year, I realize this.

The magic of Disney will always be in your Child's heart, and the more time you place in-between visits, the more she may appreciate it. Personally, I went to Disney 5 times up to the age of 13. Now, I miss it so much and I am returning in July, after many years. The people I am taking have never been because they could never afford it; acknowledging this makes me cherish the magic much more. I still have the same butterflies I had when I was 8.

My advice is to make a wise decision based on how you would like your child to be raised. No matter which direction you choose, I’m sure it will suit you the best. Good Luck!

I would say go if it feels right. You are the parent and know what is right for your child. I don't see any harm in taking them on vacation frequently. The years we have with them while they're young are precious and what better way is there to bond with them than in WDW.

We're about six hours away, and we go several times a year ourself - we do two big week long trips as each child's birthday luckily is timed around a school break (May and October). But we take several weekend trips throughout the year. In February, we actually went two separate weekends. With our season passes, it's actually one of the cheapest things we can do. We opted not to go during Spring Break this past March and went camping instead. Granted, we had to buy all of the gear as we had never been before, so our next camping trip won't be as costly, but it ended up costing about $300 more than we would have spent as Disney. To me, it's all about spending time with your kids. If we lived somewhere else, I'm sure there would be a nearby place that our family loved to spend alot of time at and create those special memories. We're just blessed enough that the nearby place for us happens to be Disney World.

If you can afford it--by all means go. Don't ever put it off for "tomorrow" if it can be done now. I don't want to turn a happy thread glum-- but none of us know what our tomorrow's may hold. So, if it isn't a burden to go and it works out just fine, why not go?
