This is will our first family fly to trip EVER :goodvibes ! I feel I've put a lot of time already trying to put our trip together and think I finally planned out our trip with just a few things left to figure out. Please give me suggestions, since I'm planning all this based on what I've heard/read. I need to get at least the hotel/flight booked since we will be using KFF and the flights are starting to fill up quickly.

5/10(Sun)-Flying in, visiting DTD & relaxing

5/11(Mon)-DL(plan on using EE this day), attending some sort of character meal

5/12(Tue)-DL

5/13(Wed)-CA, back to DL if time

5/14(Thurs)-Universal Studio, driving to SD

5/15(Fri)-SW or WAP

5/16(Sat)-SW or WAP, maybe zoo if time

5/17(Sun)-Relax, fly home

Am I allowing enough time for everything?? I really don't want to feel too rush to see everything, but would like to still see everything (does that make sense  ?).

Thanks!

First, EE (now called Magic Morning) has been changed from Monday to Sunday. So you will want to use MM on Tuesday.

Second, it appears you have three days at DLR. That should allow you to have a lot of fun. Four days would be better but three days is good.

Thank you so much for your input Trey. DH already thinks 4 days between the parks is too much so I don't think I can squeeze another day in there :sad1: !

Sad news about changing MM days. I'm also upgrading my City Pass at DL from 3 day PH to 4 day PH and was told from the recp. that I will want to use my EE, now MM on the day that I change my tickets because at the gate they will exchange my tickets and take away my MM, but if I use it that day, I can get away with it. (Still feel like I'm not making much sense :confused3 )

I was up most of the night when younger DD having the flu and am :surfweb: !! Planning our DL trip is the only thing getting me through the day at this point :cool1: !

What is WAP? Wild Animal Park? It is a far drive from the San Diego Zoo. And decided us agaist it, was you can not drive thru. They now have Viewing Stations?

San Diego Zoo is wonderful. But no one Ever told me, it is on a side of a steep hill. So, to see the Animals, you walk down to the bottom of the hill, walk over to the next lane and walk up the hill.
It is wonderful to see the animals, but exhusting, too.

I think the SD Zoo would be a Whole Day Event. Then WAP would have to be the next day, due to travel times to and from SD.

I'm alittle torn on what to do with the zoo and WAP (yes, Wild Animal Park). We have a wonderful zoo here is Seattle and I'm told yes the SDZ is wonderful, but we would enjoy the WAP more. To us we don't mind walking through the park.

It is not like Point Defiance or Woodland Park. WAP is better, more interactive than the SDZ. You have to walk a bit, but we love the walk. Can get VERY hot.

We had a similar schedule when we went in November. The only thing I would have done differently is we would do all the San Diego attractions first, and DLR last. While the zoo and Balboa Park were really enjoyable to us, it felt like a let down after spending 4 days at magical Disneyland.

Anyway, I hope you and your family have a great time! :goodvibes

I love San Diego. But the Airport is the pits in my opinion There are no Rental Car Desks inside the terminal!! You have to choose one and take a shuttle to it.

Well, last time we flew into san, we choose a car rental place and when we got there, everything was wrong!! But We were STUCK THERE! NO way to go else where. And believe me once they have you.... you are not leaving. It was Awful. It was worse than a timeshare presentation!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would take Amtrak to and from anheim to san diego, 1 1/2 hour both ways.
