Am i all alone in Sept 9,2006 on the magic western

No coconuts for us. We've never gotten anything in the mail from DCL (despite having sailed 3 times) except our castaway club cards. :confused3 I think they discriminate against the west coast.

Now that we're getting close, do we want to start talking about a DIS meet? I like the idea of a 3:00 meet on the first day - just to get to know each other's faces, etc. That's a little less crazy than trying to do it during the Sailaway (which we could do also). Deck 7 is nice, but a bit hard to find for first-timers; Deck 10 is easy to find (and close to the pool for those with aquatic kids). Opinions?

Not opposed to doing both 3:00 and Sailaway. For Sailaway I would suggest Deck 10 Starboard. What about the Promenade Lounge at 3:00? Or Deck 10 by the Mickey Pool? Is the Goofy pool open at 3:00 or is it covered already for the deck party? The hardest part for us is that I like to unpack as soon as luggage starts to come. Deck 7 aft is also good because I'm so close ;)

First of all (sarangle) thanks for inviting us over here to this thread, were much smarter now then when I first asked the Key West question.
I taught my first post scared folks off because of our age as it seemed like no one was posting after my post.
DW, DD, DS and I will be at the Pop Century Resort for 10 days prior to boarding the ship. (August 30 to Sept 9) but the kids go home to school and me and DW go on the cruise.
You mentioned this trip will be your 5th anniversary, sounds great keep it going and you'll catch up th us. The cruise part of the trip will be to celebrate our 35th anniversary.
Count us in for deck 10 sounds good or 7 as that is where our cabin is, we'll go where the group goes.

Have a good weekend all hope to see some of you soon,

Hello All, :wave2:
Hope everybody had a nice weekend.

captchris: What is up with the coconut? I haven't received one yet. Is it from DCL???
It's mailing from Disney, I seem to get every other mailing Disney does, my Mother was the first name on the all the cruises, but I get the mailings. :confused3

I'm up for a meeting, just say when and where and I will be there. I did the DIS meetings on my last 2 cruise and had a blast, was nice to see people you know around and say hi. With going solo it would be nice to see a friendly face here and there.

Boy I wish I was on the cruise this weekend, been so hot here Friday was 118 and all weekend we hit record highs, and I work outside, but they say it's going to cool down this week, only will be 106.

Four Disney cruises and never been on a western one. Grand Cayman will be a new port for us. Booked the Seven Mile beach .. thought it would be nice to flop in the ocean. A little unsure if we did the right thing in booking the Castaway kayak trip. It WOULD be nice to see another part of the island. BUT ... and it is a BIG BUT..we have never kayak before AND we do like to laze around at Serenity Beach...soooo WHAT TO DO !! WHAT TO DO !!
Did you know 7 mile beach is only 5.5 miles long ! :teeth:

And you can go to Hell :thumbsup2 pirate:

But think the beach is probably best.

Ya know... Peter and Jenn.. this is when you wish you had tons of money....it would be so KEWL to have you guys on board !! iIF i ever WIN BIG.. next cruise on us..s & jm

I am going to be on the sept 9 cruise also and I can't wait :cheer2: !!!! This will be my 4th cruise on DCL but first time on the Western cruise. I have totally loved all the other cruises I have been on and know this one will be just as great!!! Can't wait to see all you guys!

Welcome to the DIS and to the Sept. 9 Cruise. At the moment, we're discussing a meet on the first day. Currently, the most votes for a meet seem to be for Deck 7 aft at 3:00 and then Deck 10 Starbord for the Sailaway party (don't forget to wear something Lime Green).

DH & I have Sailed 3 times, once on a 3-day, once on the Eastern, once in the Mexican Riveria. This will be our first Western cruise too.

 Hi Grumpy-gramps,
I peeled the Mickey head off the card it came on from the home depot paint card, then scan it, it's the size of 8" x 11" sheet of paper, then with my print shop software I add the text to it, then printed it on a magnet sheet.

If you or any one want the scan of the blank Lime Mickey head, just let me know and I will send it to you. Just PM me or add aoldotcom to my dis name.

My nieces (3 & 5) seen the sign, and ask why I had it, and they are going to make me a sign for this years cruise, I can't wait to see what they make for me. :artist:

I know it's not to fancy, but it was my first try, from a guy who's not good at arts and craft's things.

This will be my 4th cruise also, did a 3 day (9/00), first to try it, then did the 7 day Eastern in (1/02), then the $99.00 3 day cruise (9/02) had the 4 a day plan for last Sept. which was cancel, and also had this cruise already planned already.

Take Care

Someone on another thread had the green Mickey head posted and I now have a copy on my systen.
Thanks for offering to send it.
I'll work on it this weekend I'm going to try to make two name tags for our door and two pin type tags for me and DW (Barb) to wear.

have a good weekend and seee you when we see you,

I am so ready to get on board. Just got DH's passport in the mail, the old one expired in May. I am just about done with the pre-cruise shopping. Seadoken, DH and I are all getting our scuba re-certified next Saturday.
Time to get this show on the road!!!! I can hear that Disney horn now. :cool1:

We just got back from a week in Cocoa Beach and took a few pictures of the Disney Cruise leaving port. I even got a cool video of the ship leaving just as the horn blows, but don't know how to post it, but will email it if you like . . . . Just send me an IM with your email address.

Thanks seadooken! I can understand how hard it would be to see the ship leave and not be on it. The only time I saw a Disney ship leave without me was when I tried RCL on Soveriegn of the Seas :sad2: Not going to happen again! When I see a Disney ship, I will be on it! :thumbsup2

40 days until we meet
Can't wait!! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :thumbsup2 :dance3:

WINOTRACY

Sorry, sorry ,sorry for not thanking you sooner :guilty: for the great information about Key West.
DW (Barb) :bride: and I pirate: were able to make some (hopefully) good plans based on what you said about the choppy water around Key west. As this is out first cruise we just have a lot of what to do and what not to do decisions to make.

Thank you,
:earsboy: grumpy-gramps

Where did we end up with a cruise meet? I like the Mickey pool near the drink station at 3:00. But anywhere is fine by me, It just needs to be kid conducive so they have something to do.
